  2. As some1 has already suggested good speedlines go for around £40 to £50, just keep an eye out for the odd alloys selling on its own or in pairs, still a pain in the arse but always look at the better side of it?
  3. very good! Good old edinburgh snobs!
  4. Ahh mine doesnt close with central locking either, ill have a check! nice 1 mate 8)
  5. Saw this on e38, guy with an immaculate mk1 gti found marks on his paintwork, feel for him! corozin has a good point, should def let the organisers know bout this!
  6. Still looking stunning paul, You are 1 lucky barstewerd for finding keys! Whats happening with the front RS bumper, chargers away so you can put original back on no?
  7. Dont get me started of fecking DVLA! mind you i think every1 has been is some sorta posisition where THEY have lost OUR v5's!!! anyway watch out for sticking callipers, best of all give her a good old drive before a proper blast to blow the cob webs out! nice mk1 convertable btw! 8)

  9. Well after much looking, researching and a lot of pondering!!! I have thrown my idea of having a budget out of the window, (as you do) and got a late, low milage (34K) mk4 20vT with a few extras! Id love to say let the modding begin, but cash flow is tighter than a sparrows arse at mo, but she'll be getting smooth rear bumper and badge recess on bonnet welded and filled in within next 4 to 6 weeks. Then its coilovers, and selecting a set of alloys to fook about with. Here she is, Shes been remapped, but dont know power so be interesting to get her dyno'd, she feels faster than than the corrado, but i reckon there wouldnt be much in it. The corrado isnt forgotten btw, she'll be getn alot of work over the quiet winter months. Then she'll most likely be 'The Weekend Car' 8) Cheers
  10. Please tell me you arent selling? Went to WH Smiths and didnt have a copy! Looking forward to reading article anyway! Congrats btw!
  11. aye aye what model you goin for ewan? give me a shout if your after advice, im starting to know raddos like the back of my hand! cheers
  12. Well we were going on sept this year, but i might be heading to florida this year, def goin next year though, wont be in raddo though, be something alot more suited to the track! 8) Yeah she used to be a wee bit tappety now an then on a cold start, but cant believe how well she idled. So when you getting the G60 then?! Your on here more than me now!
  13. Cheers mate, i have 2 sets of lights to play about with but always wanted all red rears from the start! 8)
  14. To all you S3 owners, did you ever think/testdrive an S4? Wat made you get an S3 over an S4? Scared about the turbo rebuild or the family man car look????
  15. Wasnt sure at first with the 1st pic but in 2nd pic they look actually quite good, not to hard to do either. 8)
  16. So she sat outside my house for over 7 months sing that ring trip!!!!  :( My own fault as i thought sod it, no point fixing 1 pipe and carry on using it with other teething problems such as bushes, inner CV joints, passenger door not opening along woth central locking and bonnet catch away again! So I was luckily enough to get a mint replacement hose off Ian aka craigowl, (cheers, the rest of your water pipes up for sale? ) i fitted it,filled it her up with water, charged the battery, and she started up and idling perfect, was expection alot of tappety noises but nothing :!: Well happy, these engine are solid, no overheating issues either. So shes back in the garage, pics coming soon with parts and bits n bobs i have collected while shes been off the road. Also been saving my tips (im a bus & taxi driver in the family buiness) which is going towards a full respray hopefully, should of done it 1 st time round really. cheers
  17. Time for an update, last time the corrado was in action was last summer! :( Ring Trip Number 2 Drove into Village on Saturday afternoon to find the place buzzing! The pics explain why! Every sort of Touring Car,DTM,GT racer was there lapping! The Cars View From Hotel Room window The Village Managed to get onto the track at night! Jimbo taking a p!ss......on a bmw! Half a lap around and pop goes a water hose, Gutted! As i felt i really knew the circuit better from the last time we were there in March. Local VW garage shut, major shouting match with greenflag ends up me telling them the best solution! Which ends up being this: Gaffa tape on burst hole and we drive her on and off ferry @ Amsterdam and back on to a recovery lorry that was waiting for us at Newcatle. £40 for extra european cover? bargain! More pics @ the ferry in Amsterdam Big shout out to james, andy and kris for a top w'knd watching the World Cup Final in Germany! 8)
  18. That car has been my wallpaper for a long time! Apparently he alos has a well sorted Mk3 Golf aswell.
  19. Forgot you were on here paul, fire round to my house after next Edinburgh SVAG meet, my vr6 been sitting outside for 7 months and she fired up the other night perfectly after a charged battery, shes on 178K. Its all about the service history and receipts mate! ps if you wanting a spin or a look at a G60, my mate has 1 in Dalkeith, could arrange a wee spin 1 day, Let me know anyway. Cheers
  20. Where exactly in Scotland are you mate?i see alot central belt, theres a few up in aberdeen too.
  21. Gota agree with craigowl here, imo the building didnt look the strongest or safest of garages anyway,em no wasnt a garage,a BARN! Sorry but if i had cars like tht worth a fortune i'd be storing them under better built property, nevertheless they prob thought it was good enough for them at the time and i do feel for them, specially the cossie! :(
  22. No probs mate, mind and go onto the regional meets guys, theres meets every month in Glasgow,Edinburgh,Falkirk,Fife,Dumfries & Borders and Inverness! Cheers
  23. Well be good if everyone in the last 3 pages could meet up? Scottish VAG winter Mega Meet: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52341
  24. My Vr6 currently has 16V wings which i quickly chucked on for a trip we were doing as the car was gettin sprayed, however i was going to replace with Vr6 wings on a later date.(due to the Vr6 wings being that little bit wider) However my plan is to have all four arches rolled and extended, so therefore im thinking i dont actually have to spend £120 on a pair of Vr6 wings and can just use the 16V wings?! Thoughts? cheers
  25. wow, either thats had a respray or its been very well looked after, wasnt a fan of yellow but its def growing on me! Yeah when i picked up mine my mate was slowing me down in his 1.2 punto, long drive from liverpool to edinburgh i tell you!
