why did later corrados have a higher ride height tho?

178K on Vr6 corrado but a taxi we have has 222k and still goin strong, Sharan 130 TDI btw!

I had mine on for a good 5 weeks, passed a few traffic cars n panda's and nvr got stopped,prob lucky! but even if i did get stopped i had my originals in boot,so would just swap them over if i did get caught, altho its just giving them an excuse to pull you over i suppose! :roll: Still think its worth it tho 8)

yeah just bought a B5 passat 20VT for winter, really comfy and you can just jump in drive and not worry bout anything! Fuel economy aint the best and its boring but cant wait for the Vr next summer!

Mk1 looks sweet as a nut!

We drove into Village on Saturday afternoon to find the place buzzing! The pics explain why! Every sort of Touring Car,DTM,GT racer was there lapping! The Cars View From Hotel Room window The Village Managed to get onto the track at night! Jimbo taking a p!ss......on a bmw! Half a lap around and pop goes a water hose, Gutted! As i felt i really knew the circuit better from the last time we were there in March. Local VW garage shut, major shouting match with greenflag ends up me telling them the best solution! :roll: Which ends up being this: Gaffa tape on burst hole and we drive her on and off ferry @ Amsterdam and back on to a recovery lorry that was waiting for us at Newcatle. £40 for extra european cover? bargain! More pics @ the ferry in Amsterdam Have a few vids of the racing im trying to uplad at the mo. Big shout out to james,andy and kris for a top w'knd watching the World Cup Final in Germany! 8)

Nice wee plug! :wink: I like the A6 handles, but it is a lot of cash, and as jay said it dont really matter what handles you have on your car if they want in they'l get in but then its not a security factor you do the conversion for its the looks apartment. How much did he smooth the mirrors for mate (if you dont mind me asking?) Sure there was a guy on the forum doing this on an exchange basis but im unsure now! Cheers

Ok so if the chains get worse or should i say louder it'l be worthwile spending the £800 odd on chains and clutch? Top end and bottom end are solid on the Vr6 so not much point in an overhaul if i dont need it right? Thanks for the replies

Ok everyone due to starting a buisness with my old man and being rushed off my feet ive sold my track car project. Should have around a £1000 to spend on my corrado which is off the road this winter while i sort out heaters,paint,etc Now i was going to go for a full leather retrim and go a bit mad but decided to play it wise and put the money towards an engine rebuild aswell as maybe a gearbox rebuild with a bit of extra cash thrown in. My corrado is a 93 (coilpack) Vr6 with 176K with full VW service history, previous owner was a lawyer for the owner of the VW&Porsche dealership in Liverpool so was well looked after (received over 4ks worth of receipts since 2000!) however when shes fired up the chains can be a little rattly for a few seconds but then quickly go away, apart form using a bit of oil from a leaking gasket thats all i can complain about the engine however theres no history of chain work being done? so at 176K is it wise to get them done along with clutch? What price am i looking at for parts and labour? Also what price would it be for a top end rebuild with copper headgasket? Blew a water pipe going round the ring this summer,had to drive a few miles to get back to the hotel beside the circuit so i feel a headgasket failure on the way! :roll: Only gearbox complaints i have is 1st gear gets a bit notchy, is there a bush or selector overhaul kit you can get like the mk2 golf? I know I should be using the search bit i feel with my high milage would be good to get opinions! cheers
