both my disc locating screws have sheared off,i dont find it hard to line the disc/hub/wheel bolts up,the carrier bolts are tight but not that tight you can remove them with a little bit of force,im sure its a 17mm bolt...and you dont need spring commpressors tochange the top mount

in the best part of 3 years i spent next to nothing repairing mine,only needed to change wear and tear items..but in the last year or so ive spent best part of 4k on wheels,coilovers etc..spent nearly 1k on a set of leather seats :shock:

i used weber as the parts were easier to find

big carbs dont usually have a problem with icing,had them on an old mk1 escort and had no problems

to take the 2.8 to 3.1 you need to overbore it but the 2.9 is ok from what i read

just trimming the gasket shouldnt cause any problems,someone must of put the gasket on out of alignment
