  4. I've recently got one of these in white so you can actually see in the dark! It actually has 10 LEDs (not 6 as mentioned in the blurb) and may save a battery if you leave the bastard on by accident, less than 1w instead of 10w. Bought better H4s (+80%) 8) and H3s(+90%) 8) for the front from there at the same time.

  6. I had no joy getting pins, used self tappers and they've rusted - D'oh! Didn't change the seal.
  7. Valvers do 38-40mpg at 60mph out of the box. Best I had was 48mpg on a motorway run with a spacesaver fitted -- only hit 65mph once or twice, not a good idea! I was trying to stick to 50mph, safe, economical and boring!

    window trim

New one aren't too expensive, and if you've had excessive wind noise it could well be badly fitting 'triangle trim bits'!!

    window trim

As I recall the front edge needs 'easing' over the rubber seal to allow it to move rearwards. Have fun!
  10. I think they're set up so the driver's side gets a bit more blow for initial demist/deice but the vent is fed directly from the top of the airbox thingie so the screen feed is pretty shallow. The grills do pull off so you could check for blockages.

    window trim

Triangle bit slides backwards about half an inch but it's a bit of a bastard, take care! They are still available but can't remember a price. The horizontal trim can then be removed, upwards, starting at one end, it can bend because there's a metal insert in it so take it steady and it should be re-useable. Prob easier with the window down. Enjoy
  12. The Topran ones from B&B are £9 ish and have the lines!! :) They are out there. No issues (literally) with it or cap! 8)

  20. He could do them with another euro plug on dead easy, might be a good selling point for him that he can sell them to the UK.
  21. That's ok if you can a find someone willing to weld it in the first place, most places didn't want to touch it, and then lead it too. H&S seems to have put people off lead and there's a skill shortage problem as well i guess?
