  1. Further to discussions with Andi, I am pleased to confirm we now have a monthly meet in Essex. This meet is already established with a good bunch of enthusiasts meeting regularly on the 2nd Monday evening of every month. The location is a very good country pub called The Old Windmill, South Hanningfield. The food is awesome and the carpark large - perfect for a car meet. More details can be found here http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/oldwindmill/ We have a facebook page which is located here https://www.facebook.com/EssexGTI, please feel free to take a look. Our meet is called Essex GTI, because it started out as a Golf GTI meet, but we welcome any interesting cars, particularly Volkswagen's best derivative of the Golf GTI, the Corrado. Between us, we have a very good technical knowledge of watercooled VWs, and have probably experienced most problems you are ever likely to come across. The next meet is Monday 13th May from around 7.30pm. I hope to see a few of you there :) To whet your appetite here are a couple of photos from a previous meet. Three of our members Corrados at a recent dyno day :)
  2. Sold to n3p. Payment received today, thanks Nick.
  3. I'll take them as agreed over text. I will collect on Saturday and pay cash when I arrive. Cheers, phil
  4. Get the Corrado and bring it to this meet https://www.facebook.com/EssexGTI :)
  5. Further to my last post, we also have a new facebook page, take a look here. https://www.facebook.com/EssexGTI
  6. I'd cover the fuel cost to Lakeside, if you wanted to meet there. Could do tomorrow or possibly Friday night. If you would need it delivered to Croydon, I would prefer to post, and I will price up the postage tonight.
  7. What are you interested in the sub or both sub and amp? I can look into postage costs and let you know or I could meet you at Lakeside to reduce the road trip... :)
  8. That is one very tidy Corrado! I need to address the rust on my rear arches at some point soon.
  9. I'm not aware of one, however there is a good Club GTI meet in Essex. We meet here http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/oldwindmill/ every 2nd Monday from around 7.30. I should add we are not a very 'scene' meet - more biased towards technical projects and eating good food ;)
  10. A head gasket set for the top end, and possibly valve guides, head skim. Bottom end depends on bore wear, condition of crank etc. I re-built mine and went for +0.5mm re-bore, new pistons, new bearing shells, decked block etc. I have a pair of kr cams which i'd consider selling. PM me if you're interested.
  11. I bought mine from http://www.jmbelts.com/.
  12. Timken and NTN are also good quality. Timken were the first bearing manufacturer to produce taper roller bearings, as fitted to the rear of the Corrado.
  13. Brand new un-used JL Audio CP112-W0v3 subwoofer in BassWedge ported enclosure. Sales blurb from JL Audio: "Enclosed Subwoofer System with Single 12WØv3-4 Subwoofer Driver, Dark Gray Carpet (300 W, 4 Ω) - Ported Enclosure This powerful slot-ported BassWedge™ subwoofer system delivers awesome output at an unsurpassed value. The slot-port runs along the bottom of the enclosure and fires on the same plane as the woofer to produce excellent extension and response smoothness. The port mouth is flared to minimize air-flow noises. The ultra-versatile BassWedge™ shape has extended sides so that it can be placed with the woofer firing out or straight down, off the floor of the vehicle. The shape works equally well in forward or rear-firing installations. This gives you plenty of options for tweaking the loading of the enclosure into your vehicle. This subwoofer system is shipped wired, loaded and ready to connect via a push-button terminal. Finish: Dark gray, high-grade automotive carpet with "JL AUDIO" embroidery on the top edge and "Slot-Ported BassWedge™" embroidered on the port mouth. Construction: MDF Recommended amplifier power: 75 - 300W Nominal Impedance: 4 Ω" Full details available here: http://www.jlaudio.ca/cp112-w0v3-car-audio-basswedge-subwoofer-systems-93281 £100 cash collected from Southminster, Essex. I will look in to postage costs, and post details here, but I would prefer collection. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Used Mutant MT2404R 4 channel amplifier. 4 x 60 Watt RMS @ 4 Ohms (Stereo) 4 x 90 Watt RMS @ 2 Ohms (Stereo) 2 x 150 Watt RMS @ 4 Ohms (Bridged) High & Low Pass Filters £25 cash collected from Southminster, Essex. £35 (paypal) posted to UK mainland.
  14. The plastikote trigger is meant for all cans, not just plastikote. So far I have used mine on hammerite. It works perfectly with that
  15. Agreed on trigger guns. Only just bought one recently and I'm surprised how much better it.
  16. That's odd. Mine only closes and locks everything when you press the button on the remote with the ignition off. On a kind of related note, if anyone has any spare Conlog remotes with the rubber button in good condition, I would be very interested in them. The buttons on both of mine are falling apart.
  17. I forgot about this :) It's still for sale if anyone is interested.
  18. I have kept the ash tray for you, do you still want it? The price is £12 posted to UK mainland. I will hold it for you today (Monday 29th April), but after that I will offer it to anyone who would like it.
  19. Door cards sent today via Parcelforce to Tigerfish.
  20. Payment received, thank-you. I'll wrap them tonight, and send them tomorrow. :)
