  1. I am very relieved. Yep sh1te service would be an accurate description. I now just have to wait for the correct models to turn up.
  2. I have just received a message confirming receipt of the Peugeot models :) Joyce tells me a refund will be sent by paypal today, and the Corrado models posted tomorrow.
  3. Well I'm envious of your situation. At the moment the Peugeots I returned are either, lost in transit, stuck at customs, been delivered to Otto without Joyce knowing or at Otto, but Joyce is choosing not to acknowledge receipt. I imagine any of the above options are equally likely. Joyce is extremely un-willing to help. I cannot say I wouldn't by an Otto model again, but I definately will not purchase directly from them again. They make a mistake, I do all that they ask and get treated like it's my fault.
  4. Dan/Debra, that is very good of you to offer to help, I have pm'd you. Thanks, Phil ---------- Post added at 1:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:14 AM ---------- Absolutely, I wish I had ordered from dgdiecast.
  5. They were posted from Colchester to Guégon, France. Good point regarding customs, I will do some research.
  6. My other half sent it through work. Unfortunately she did not get proof of postage, however she did get a photo showing the parcel, address and franked postage details. ---------- Post added at 2:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:04 PM ---------- Paid via paypal, but cannot raise a dispute as you can only do this within 45 days of sending the payment. 45 days has passed. ---------- Post added at 2:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:05 PM ---------- I too am dealing with Joyce, and yes she is very rude and abrupt. Not sure if she means to be, or just comes across that way. I often deal with German people at work and they come across quite short sometimes, but they are actually very friendly people. Joyce tells me, I will get a refund on the return postage when they receive the Peugeot models. Has Joyce confirmed receipt of the Peugeot models from you?
  7. Otto say they have not received the Peugeot models I posted to them, and will not do anything without them. Otto specifically requested that they were sent by standard (non signed for post), so I cannot track the postage, or claim a full refund. The way Otto are dealing with this stinks. Their view is pretty much, "We haven't received em, f off". I cannot prove that they have received the returned cars, but they cannot prove they have not received them. I have given them a deadline of 15th February to provide two model Corrados and a refund for the return postage costs of the incorrectly supplied Peugeots. Can anyone offer any comments on where I stand legally? i.e. Would it be worth taking them to the small claims court?
  8. ]Just received an email from Otto. It said, "Sorry I have not received your model". Totally p'd off with them, so I have sent a strongly worded email. Sadly I would recommend not buying from Otto. Customer service is not something they care about. :(
  9. The models look great, but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. I hope they get back to me with something positive soon, as I'm over £100 down with nothing to show for it.
  10. The Peugoets were sent to them on 26th January. According to Otto, they have not arrived, and until they do I won't be getting my Corrado models or a refund for return postage. I really hope they turn up soon :(
  11. I got a response within 24 hours. They asked me to return the Peugeots and they will then send my corrados. They will also refund the postage cost. My invoice clearly stated 2 corrados too. Not sure how they mixed it up.
  12. I'm fighting the temptation to strip one down and make a replica of my Corrado.
  13. Good film, I did miss the cars from the series though.
  14. Check out the neatly placed door cards behind!
  15. That looks very good. Just sent the Peugoet 106s sent to me by mistake back. Hopefully I'll receive my Corrados very soon. Is it metal or plastic? I read it was plastic, but the Peugoets were metal.
  16. I bought mine 2nd hand for £100. New? I think they were around £180, but I could be wrong.
  17. I have a JL Audio 12W0 in mine (12"). Yep, I can take a photo and post it up. At work at the moment, so the earliest I can do this will be tonight. ---------- Post added at 11:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:43 AM ---------- Just googled it. Mine looks just like this, so no need to take a photo now ;)
  18. Your bathroom looks like a country lane. Where is the loo?
  19. I changed one core plug on my 9a, with the engine in, and the exhaust manifold and downpipe still fitted. I was lucky in that the one I needed to replace was the easiest one to access, but it was by no means easy. All work was done from underneath the car. I used a small electric drill to drill a hole in the centre of the old core plug and wound in a the largest self tapping screw I could find, then I used pliers and mole grips to leaver it out of the block. Once out I cleaned the the bore of the hole in the block with emery cloth. I then painted hammerite on the sealing face of the bore and fitted the new core plug (whilst the paint was wet). To install the new core plug I first levered it into the hole to get it started. I used various pry bars, blocks of wood etc to enable me to lever against the plug. From what I remember, there was no room to swing a hammer, to levering was the only way I could do it. It was hard work, but I got there in the end, and pushed it in to match the depth of the other core plugs. Once in, I painted plenty of hammerite on the core plug including around it's perimeter. This was about 4 years ago, and it has been fine. Since doing that I rebuilt the engine including replacing the other core plugs. I inspected the one I fitted originally and concluded there was no point in replacing it as it was fitted perfectly.
  20. I have one, but it was a long time ago when I had the details. IIRC they are about 1.1 cu ft. Kevin Bacon on here would be the best person to ask, as he had some involvement with Audioscape Corrado items.
  21. When I had this happen, I made a repair part using rectangular piece of steel and a nut. Either side of where mine broke there are steel strips running front to back. My repair bracket slid under these, with a nut which I could then bolt the handbrake bracket on to. Very hard explain, and I have no photos - sorry. If you post a photo of yours I can download it and mark it up to show how I repaired mine.
  22. I got a parcel yesterday, with two Otto boxes inside :) For some reason they sent a pair of Peugeot 106's :( Emailed them this morning, but no response yet.
  23. It's great to see VW taking an interest in the older cars, but some of those prices are very very high.
  24. Hi Dave These parts arrived safely yesterday, thank-you. Thank-you also for the neatly bagged trim clips - Almost like buying new :)
