  1. Find a decent bodyshop and they'll repair that no problem. The damage looks pretty light from the photos. I repaired far far worse than that when I was in the motor trade.
  2. Does the needle stay stationary when the revs are changing? Mine will stick at say 3k rpm when accelerating, and then jump if you rev it hard.
  3. Sounds like the spindle on your rev counter is sticking. Mine does this in winter if not driven for a while, but after one or two journeys it is fine.
  4. 184bhp, 158Ibft on a dyno known as 'Tough Love Dyno' :) Not bad for a little valver. Further refinements to the map have been done since then, so it may now be a little more.
  5. Yeah I got it sorted in the end, but it was by no means easy. I'd definitely recommend Otto models, just don't by direct from them - they are an absolute nightmare to deal with.
  6. Mr. Bowen! Cool, we're a pretty knowledgeable bunch, so if anything does go wrong, im sure between us we can help :)
  7. Looking forward to meeting you. The food is really good :) We have people coming for as far as Middlesex and Hertfordshire.
  8. mic_VR it would be great to see you. Looking at the sort of mods you have in your signature, you'd fit right in :)
  9. December Essex meet on Monday 9th. Everyone is welcome - Pop in for half an hour or stay all evening whatever suits you :)
  10. I saw a red one on eBay today. First I've seen!
  11. Gurds welcome to the forum :) Glad you're still enjoying the Corrado.
  12. The Essex meet is happening tonight. Location and time as per the first post in this thread. Who's up for this?
  13. Don't get ElectroSpark ones. I bought a set of these from GSF, and one by one they failed over the course of 3 or 4 years. Of the 5, only 1 is still serviceable. Right now, my Corrado is back on the original 1993 vintage VW leads made by Beru IIRC. When funds allow, I plan on getting a new set from VW. VW spares show Beru ones on their site, so that could be a good option.
  14. Hi Ross, I'm trying to avoid commenting on your leaking crack :) I had a good look at my manifold this morning, and I don't think it will be of interest to you. For speed your best bet may be to find a local specialist welder to repair yours. Welding cast items such as this apparently requires heating of the part to a very high temperature before welding, to reduce localised expansion, stresses and cracks. As you can see, mine has cracks also...
  15. Gasket, id say gsf or euro car parts. Are you sure the crack is a problem, I think mine has some small hairline cracks, but it didn't leak. Mine has had some welding done about 7 years ago because I gas flowed it. If you are interested I could meet you at lakeside on Saturday. Do you want me to post up some photos. The reason its for sale is because I now gave a tubular manifold.
  16. Intake or exhaust manifold? I have the upper section intake (the part which says DOHC) and an exhaust manifold and downpipe... ---------- Post added at 1:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:07 PM ---------- My intake manifold is here :) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=77470
  17. Our next meet is tomorrow night at the old windmill. Anyone is welcome :)
  18. Hi lewvw, Great. I'm not planning on going to the national day at the moment, so you have an excuse to attend GTI International :) I'll PM you my phone number. Thanks Phil

  20. Poor Corrado, I hope you can find who hit it and claim off their insurance. My Corrado must have come from the same dealers of yours (Kennings IIRC), the reg on mine is also K*** GKY, and it is a 2.0 16v :)
  21. I'll be there, but due to a seized brake calliper, the Corrado will have to stay at home :( Anyone else up for this?
  22. That's a fair walk to Wickford. Abi's kebabs must be awesome :)
  23. If you look on the plastic trim on the front seat of a mk4 Golf, you will find the same part! Well my 51 plate GTI does anyway. It is located on the base just below where your legs would be when sitting in the seat.
