  1. Strange things afoot with my fan. The car has not been started for 2 days, but i washed it today, but did not start the car. 3 hours later all locked up the cooling fan started up for no reason. Can any one shed any light?:bonk: Edit: When the fan is on it goes off when i open the drivers door, this is what gets me.
  2. Cheers Jim, Got some from EC parts, it will be ok to top up until i do the oil service. Got the oil cooler to sort out as it has slight weep.
  3. Cheers for help guys, Found this at europarts, will it be ok?? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_2.9_1995/p/car-parts/car-lubricants-and-car-fluids/lubricant-and-fluids/engineoil/?521770462&1&7e6a9772c743aedaca6bdb41845e740524e5bf7b&000398
  4. I have a planned full oil change in the next couple of months. I checked the cars level and it does need a top up. The oil what is in the car now unfortunately i don't know the make vicosity used from when i got the car. So my question is would it be ok to buy a grade of 10/40 oil say semi syn and top up with this until i do the full drop of the oil? The reason for the top up is a have found a small weep on the oil cooler so will be also sorting this out also. What does this job actually in tail?
  5. Cheers wayne, i was considering taking my car to my local garage to do the rad change, but i thought it was about time i got ripped in and do it myself and it was surprisingly easy to do. Looked up the do and dont's on the forum and just took my time. Job was done in 4 hours not bad if a say so myself. :smug: Hope you get your problems sorted.
  6. I changed my rad the other week, used demin water bought it from Morrisons was cheap so bought enough for several years. If it comes to a rad change wayne there is plenty of info on here to guide you, hopefully it will be a hose like Sean said, (good to have someone like him to help you as well very nice of him i say). Here's my thread i posted when i was tasked with the rad change. As i wasn't so lucky http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=89593&highlight=Ray1965
  7. The cables as far as a know are normal. Seen them on plenty of other cars and mine is the same. Correct me if i am wrong, think there are the hand brake cables.
  8. The button is for when you wash the car, our if you want to show off to the car behind you whilst waiting at junctions, (i have never ever done this though). Should come up around 60 mph and go down at 10 mph (well thats what mine does).
  9. Hmm, will have to try this ^^ Good price was well.
  10. Strange stuff still haven't worked it out. I'm using Safari on mac book and it's fine and dandy.
  11. After seeing these, mines up for sale! ^^^^ How about...And here is the weather- Rain is forecast later, any VW Corrado owners do not drive your corrado into a black cloud area.
  12. Welcome from me down in South Yorkshire. Seen your other thread, get it all sorted and you have a good car. As for any meets we will have to arrange one. There are plenty of Rado owners in Yorkshire. Tried last year a couple of times but it seemed to never happened, people working, busy, cars off road etc. Hope it will be different this year, you never know
  13. I was one of the probably many what watched the episode and i did indeed go out and try the Redex. I didn't notice a great deal of power change tbh, but it did smooth the idle out a little bit. I just followed the instructions on the bottle over a few fuel stops.
  14. What i have read Jim, it's looks like a browser problem will not connect / talk to the forum website server. http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E504.html
  15. 18. Cheers Chris. Just seen your post bit late i know. Had internet issues just of late. I'll do some searching about, your going to lol here i don't even know where the aux pump is. Is it near the coil pack / this area of the engine bay?
  19. Mine did the same with engine running. Decided to lock it's self and i had no spare key. 45 mins ticking over on drive. Gas man visiting next door took 2 mins to get in with the looped wire trick through the rubber.
  20. Yes can't fault them i ordered a new wiper linkage was here the next day took 12 hrs to get it to me :g60: top service and was very helpful on the phone. Top marks. :thumbleft:

  22. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=89761 My post last week Today it's running spot on. :thumbleft:
  23. You can check the coil pack for arcing, best way to do this is to spray with a fine water mist on the coil pack and look for any blue arcs. or maybe if you run it for a while upto temp possibly will dry the bay out.
