  1. I can vouch for the Halfords one... until late last year my car was outside and once the clips were secure under the car it stayed put even with the gales we had.

On sunny days I did air the car thou and dry the cover off the car etc.

    no vents on mine either.

Cheers for that Geeba I'll probably go for Halfords.

  2. Development Cell Operator.

Basically reasearch and Development (R&D) on how to purifiy metal powders, such as Titanium, Tantalum, Canadium and a host of others.

Mainly used for metal 3d printing.

(Might start printing Titanium VR6 grill badges)

  3. The search is over. I finally managed to source a full black leather interior with door cards in close to mint condition. Very pleased.

    YOU LUCKY MAN.

Where was it from and how much did you pay and has he got another lol?

Been after one for a while too.

  4. I'm too soft on companies when I get this sort of thing. I don't really want compensation - I just want them to know they screwed up and try and make sure it doesn't happen again. But you're right - I should give them both barrels when I go back this afternoon and I should have demanded the free delivery.

They should give you something just for the sheer inconvenience, without you asking for it.

  5. That is dam poor Jim. No excuses tbh, yes the first time was ok computers down etc, but to be on your fourth trip is just not on.

I would be having a word with the depot's manager and then the regional manager until you get some reasonable answer to why the failed to do what it says "on the tin".

You never know you may get something nice your way for the massive inconvenience of the whole saga.

Come on EP get your act together !!

Do let me know how get on.

  6. Looks fantastic.

I also removed alarm before it left me stuck.... Feels old skool having to use the key in the door to lock the car

Hi Jim, yes it does feel old school locking the car with the key very old fashioned.

The new alarm has all the mod cons on it so will be going back to modern soon.

  7. Very nice!

Kind of condition I hope to bring mine round too - out of interest whats the exaust pipe? - its a rather nice subtle looking one.

Yes, Geeba exhaust is Magnex, SS i had the rear suitcase back box removed so its a much deeper sound. Also have lost atleast half a ton in weight with it removed.:thumb right::cool:

  8. Been a while, thought it was time for an update.

Got my new plates on the car some nice pressed steel ones which look 100% better than the old ones I'm sure they were the originals not sure.

Had the factory immobilizer removed it was a total pain in the butt, car not starting at 5 am not good. Had the Con-log standard alarm ripped out, after failed repair of really worn out key fob and lots of other faults.

Purchased a new alarm, the car is now ready for it to be fitted when my electrician is available.

Here's a few up to date pics.

  9. Cheers everyone good info thanks. Will look into Halford's medium cover. Question to those people who have a cover from Halford's has anyone had any issues with scratching/chaffing the paint work?

  10. Need to replace my tired battery on my VR. Been looking about and came across this at ECP also looking at Bosh S4. My old battery is a Varta 63AH does it have to be this on the replacement what is the norm AH for the VR engine?

Link to Euro CP note they have a promo code on at the moment so the battery has a £16 saving.
