  1. Yeah I replaced my bearing and belt not long after getting the car John. The bearing was less than a fiver and only a few quid for an auxilliary belt from GSF/ECP, so did that too. A little more effort than replacing the entire tensioner, but I like doing things the hard way! lol.

    Cheers Guys..

Sean, where did you get your bearing from?

  2. The last couple of outings the tensioner sounds like its on it's way noisy when engine has been run for a couple of minutes.

Does anyone know the best place to get the correct part from?

Looks to be not a complicated job. M8, 80mm bolt needed for the tensioner.

Might as well change the belt as well while i'm at it.

My car has no AC so need to use one sided v groove belt.

  3. My battery is starting to feel the strain as the car hasn't been driven too much this winter, i have a Varta fitted, been in the car for 4 years plus. Been quoted £45 for the same one, not too bad tbh.

  4. Up date, I have bought a set of montys, they were in reasonable nick, until i got them delivered the courier who delivered them must have been playing curling down a gravel path, no paint left on one of the wheels. Will have to do a refurb thanks to him. They were wrapped in bubble wrap but had no obvious damage to the plastic bags they were also wrapped in.

I was in two minds anyway to refurb them back to new finiish, i guess this forced my hand for me.

  5. As for moister soaker upper, i'm using two socks filled with cheapo cat litter had them in a week now and there is now minimal steaming when the car is stood. Just put them on a radiator in the house after a while to dry out, can be used over and over again.

  6. Fitted mine today and used Osram night breaker unlimited bulbs and wow what a difference! I can now see more than 5m in front of the car haha!

Glad you got sorted, i a have the night breaker bulbs they make a lot of difference.

Cant fault the loom as well.

  7. As easypops said, What is the condition / miles done? I'm in the running for some new shocks and top mounts. I'm based in Rotherham not far from you by looks of it. Are you a member of Sheffield dubs btw?
