Thanks Jay. hope you are well..

Hello and welcome (see it's your first post). I would leave them silver as this does complement the dark colour of the car. Referb and paint spray or could go for powder coating.

Nice car. Well spotted there with the side repeaters one is above the side moulding and one is below??..

Me Thinks thats a good idea you have there. Will be in touch as soon as i get the cash. TBH i was swaying towards AP's. My son has them on his MK6 golf gti and the ride is ok on this car. Having said that the Corrado vr is lot heavier than a golf. So it would make sense to take you up on your offer and see how they are, thats very kind. BTW Where did you buy yours from Mr A5?

Reading your post you have covered everything that is obvious. have you checked the tyres, seating of the wheels against the hub? A long shot but just thinking out of the box.

Just don't want to make a bad choice as there are so many on the market. Obviously when your on a budget as well. As always you only get what you pay for. Cheers for your comment Hairy. More feed back would be good. :thumbleft:

I have been looking into taking mine off the car. Looking at photos with them removed does look good. On the other hand they do actually stop rubs scuffs and knocks to the door panels. Reading the first post a car ran into the side on the motorway and resulted in slight paint damage and sacrificed the mouldings. Would it be correct to say that if they were not on the car at the time that there would have been a more damage and a much bigger repair bill? Not so sure now as my car is my daily.

Found this from the good old USA, might guide you in the right direction....http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112899

I watched this last night what a complete Cowboy out-fit. The garage manager was full of s**t. The way he treated the lady driver was shocking. The owner was as bad all you got off him was a wheel barrow full of bull s**t and taking the camera crew round the place 3 times. Then had the point blank cheek to tell the BBC after asking for a refund, "it was bad luck and a refund was not possible". If it was me he would have got my response...See you in court.
