Hi JIm, Yes i was involved a bit but got one of my lads mates to fit them. No issues atall. Was a big help having the new top mounts as well. Took about 20 mins a side. Like i said in other post they are set high to settle in. Ride is not bad up to now, bit hard going over pot holes when you cant avoid them on the rear, front is quite good. Having said that my rears were well beyond good as they were leaking oil so the ride was crap anyway so really cant compare. I'll keep you posted JIm when i get them set up to the correct height. let me know when you get yours on your car.

Coil overs now fitted to the car. Running a bit high for now let them settle for a few miles, and then will adjust to around 30/40mm.
-
Fitted new AP Coil overs. No major issues set just below standard height for the next 50 mile for them to settle then will adjust to around 30 / 40 mmm drop.

Cressa i'm in Rotherham so not too far away from you. Thanks for your offer will see what happens later in the week, as i'm working this weekend.
-
Nice one Jim, i wish there was someone local to me who could give me some help as well.
-
Received my coil overs today, now to get em fitted. :thumbleft:
-
Got mine from AVS, fronts with bearings and rear set. Very good service.
-
All done and ordered ! Let me know Jim when you get yours. :thumbleft:
-
Cheers Jim, will drop DPM a line and get them ordered. Got my top mounts and rear mounts delivered this afternoon as well so all good.
-
Thats great every little helps. I'm ready to buy asap np, i need to get them on the car in the next few weeks. What did he say with delivery Jim? separate address?
-
Just ordered front and rear mounts from AVS, £29.82 delivered next day. Also I've phoned DPM today and he said he will try to do us some discount. I've PMed you Jim for the details he requires.
-
That might be a good idea tbh, how would they do the delivery, would they deliver to separate address's, and still give us discount?
-
Think i will be going with AP Jim, good reviews fitted to the Corrado. Will need to sort the top mounts out as well. TPS or AVS.

Yeh mate easy job I replaced the high-pressure sensor last month, 24mm socket with a long extension bar. My lad helped me to guide it on the sensor from underneath.
-
Hi Jim, Awesome GTI are doing them at £355 https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-brand/ap-suspension/ap-coilovers-volkswagen-corrado/ also Mad Motors bit cheaper at £345. http://www.madmotors.co.uk/ap-coilovers-vw-corrado-2-0-1-8-g60-vr6.html Will have to look into the delivery prices, they might even price match one another. Its the top mounts that might prove a bit harder to source.

Will be ordering my new AP coillies later this month, also will be replacing all the top mounts all round, any one advise on where to buy etc?
-
Cheers for the info Sean, any tips and potential hic ups to look out for when fitting the coilies. I know i'll have to have the wheel alingnment set back up.
-
To relight this old post i did. I'm going for a set of AP coil overs in the near future. I will be changing the top mounts as well, anyone recently replaced there's, where's the best place to buy from and what make etc.

Hello and welcome from South Yorkshire. Road trip and half, enjoy the car :thumbleft:

I put in general chat Jim, didn't see the first post, was moved here. Big price tag on it btw.
-
And now for something entirely different.... https://www.carthrottle.com/post/the-magnum-g60-is-a-super-rare-vw-corrado-shooting-brake-that-ll-cost-you-50k/

So you got the problem sorted thats good. Amazing what a clean can do even though the contacts may look clean. Hope the problem stays away for you :thumbleft:

I replaced the ECU relay and the fuel pump relay last year, went down to Euro car parts and they got the part mumbers, with no bother. Failing that what about TPS?

Corrado is making horrible noises, any ideas?

When i had a CV joint go, i drove round in both directions on full lock listening for knocking and clicking noises
