  1. cams very rarely wear unless the oil pump fails.so buying secondhand shouldnt be a prob

  6. just so happens theres a saab at my breakers! prefer the polished bling look though. was tempted to ditch the filter and re run the fumes back into the vacuum so the tank just cathces the crud

  8. the filter cost me £6 aswell so really it was £12 and i used a renault 5 turbo samco water hose as the breather pipe, as it was amazingly the perfect shape and diameter!
  9. Ive got a single wiper on my c but it doesnt seem to clear anywhere near as good as the lupos i had before. Ive acquired some lupo aero blades and wonder if i can mount 1 to my single wiper arm?
  10. I made an oil catch tank out of a volvo air conditioning can which cost me £6! Basically just cut the pipes and fitted the crank case breather to 1 pipe,then found a hose pipe connection which was same thread but had a 15mm pipe on it to fit a 15mm breather filter! Just need to suss a way to drain it,so i might drill a hole in the bottom and tap a thread into it I didnt want manky hot oil vapour going through my nice polished internals like my flowed inlet manifold etc what do you think?

    air lock?

    Im suffering exatly the same thing. Best proccedure is to run the car up with the header tank cap off and let it boil over as the air rises to the top. I had to remove rad hoses and fill rad with water 1st to remove an airlock in the rad
  12. Im struggling to remove the clutch master cylinder on the c im breaking. Ive undone the linkage to pedal and undone a 13mm nut from the engine side of the bulkhead but still cant shift it? What am i missing? Need help asap Many thanks

  16. i never had to extend the wiring on mine. You will need to either trim the top part of shroud or buy a late vr6 1

  20. prob not the best time to tell you this but its the same cooler vw used on there 50bhp beetles so might not help on a g60? You must use new gaskets throughout as i learnt the hard way and lost £30 of oil down my parents driveway!
  21. Thats from a mk1 golf gti! If you wind out the long thread tube that the oil filter screws on,out of your g60 1,and fit it to the mk1 one,you can still use the heat exchanger. Its not a good idea to do away with it
