  1. Too true Kev too true. So you're saying I don't need the K&N 57i cone filter then - just a "bent pipe" and a cheapo £15-£20 K&N filter ? Unfortunately I dont't have a garage or any tools otherwise I would make one up myself. Might be a little project or group buy methinks. Watch this space ...
  2. Yeah I've seen those Turn2 cold air intakes. Certainly the best idea/concept seeing as you stick it from under the wheel arch and through the carbon canister hole, but I was thinking of spending no more than £100. These ones cost around £130 from http://www.turn2usa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=T&Product_Code=t2_a3vrcai&Category_Code=cai Even comes with instructions just in case someone wants to do a similar mod for their existing cone filter: http://www.turn2usa.com/a3vr6caiinstall.html
  3. Just bought some TT rims off fleabay and need some decent rubber ! I want to fit some 205/40/17 tyres - anybody recommended any online places that deliver, or somewhere in the North-East London/Essex area ? Read earlier someone managed to get 4 delivered for £230 but can't remember who or where they were from. My nearest tyre place will do them for £260.
  4. Ok I've had the K&N 57i on my previous Rado ... looking to try something different. Anybody had any experience with say the PiperCross ? How about BMC ? RamAir ? Any to stay clear of ? I've heard that the cotton ones are better. Don't want one too loud. The K&N was quite a noisy bugger

    Oil temp sensor

Is this an easy job to replace if I need to ? My oil temp comes and goes ... in fact it could be the end that needs cleaning come to think of it.
  6. I see most people just tint the orange part. Is it easier to get away with it, or do you have to leave some red in them ?
  7. Dude what were you on ...
  8. Are there any Alarm Fobs that WILL actually fit inside the MK4 flip key internals ? I've got a MK4 flip key already ... I've got the standard VW-branded (Scorpion ?) alarm fob which is pretty small on it's own.
  9. I've got the same lettering written on my fob and I believe that the standard fit alarms were Scorpion. Wonder if anyone can tell me whether or not I can program a Mk4 Flip Key to work with the Scorpion alarm ...
  10. Ok before I buy anything ... do you have to replace the arm as well as the blade, or do you leave the Corrado arms and put Lupo blades on ?
  11. Looking to buy or a few questions regarding installation ? If looking to buy try here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 24615&rd=1
  12. Bet it looks good with the new interior :) You taken pics yet ? PS I'm looking at some this weekend now that I've sold me bike so hope to be back into Corradoing very soon. You still go those tinted tail lights and side-repeaters ? Might need to buy some bits off you !
  13. G-Man the cool thing is when you are actually drunk, she has only one pair of eyes and one mouth !
  14. Ok while we're on the theme of pics with signs here's me in Oxford
  15. Provided it's got service every 10 000 miles shouldn't be a prob then should it ? My beautiful blackberry VR6 *sob* had about 143 000 miles and was still sweeeeet.
  16. Hasn't anyone been interested in this car ? Sounds too cheap to be real - wondered if anyone had gone along to look at it.
  17. OK so I might be missing my VR6 ... just a tad ... Mystic blue Storm 169 000 miles on Autotrader. Anyone seen it yet ? http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=CORRADO&variant=vr6&keywords=&min_pr=75&max_pr=6000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=ig9+5sh&miles=200&max_records=50&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=3&distance=153&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200420143439447 Been for sale for past 2 weeks ...
  18. Was being sarcastic about the locking bit I did see the car and also wondered if anyone knew any history. Obviously not. Yes I've got withdrawal symptoms. This weekend on my bike will determine whether I'm gonna sell it for another Corrado. Just looking at what's out there so long. So I might be back ... but for now I frequent the UK Ducati Monster Owner's Club (forum)
  19. Am I missing something here ? So no-one knows anything about this car then. Right please lock thread.
  20. So does anyone know this car then ?
  21. I'm in the same predicament. Had bike accident last year May. Bike taken off the road and put in storage. Next month I bought a car - lovely Mazda MX-3 which is the smallest V6 engine in production at 1.8 litres. Revs much quicker than my VR6. Anyway. As you know got the VR6 and had the accident in it, innit ! Sold the car, fixed up bike, now that it's warmer and I'm gonna get it MOT'd this weekend. But I really miss having a Corrado ! I will probably kill myself on a bike and I feel much safer in a car. But summer + warm sun = biking weather. Which would you choose ? Oh and my mother said I can use her car which is a N-reg Mazda 332. So I COULD have 4-wheel transport if I really wanted to keep my Monster. PS would cost too much to have both and insure both, what with having accidents on both !
  22. I'd say the second method. If you let it idle for too long then hot oil will be splashed on cold parts when you eventually get going. I drive away almost immediately but keep the revs very low ie under 2000.
  23. Cheers Andy So basically a '93 VR6 is identical to a '94/'95 VR6 in terms of interior/exterior/controls/instruments ?
  24. Quick question ... When was the "later" type VR6 released - what year/reg ? And what were the major differences ? I know there were some interior changes like sunroof switch area, centre console and wider running gear and bonnet. Thanks in advance.
