Mine's gotta be this one of my Mk1 Rocco, my all-time favourite ride 8) Followed by a piccie of my Mk2 Storm Rocco. Erm, only allowed 2 pics  , oh well, none of my Rado then ... Tempest

Some more piccies from the mini meet 8) Tempest

The ones at 210 Euros look like the FK ones (as that site does state they're an authorised FK distributor in the Netherlands), and they also sell tail lights for 339 Euros (which judging by the colours available are the real In.Pros, but they don't do the all black). Yes, I can read Dutch 8) Tempest

Running a catalytic converter? Then all that unburnt fuel won't do any good to it ... Sorry to be a spoil-fun ... Tempest

Don't panic, Jim. Knowing that we're both in Coventry, we'll just get together one day, and get the G-Lader out :) I've got tons of German info WITH pictures (I have posted the link to one of the sites here recently) of how to go about getting the Lader out. Sourcing parts is also not really a problem, a few contacts in Germany :D Tempest (whose standard Lader is starting to get close to having to get taken out for a check) PS: Having been to a met of G60 Rado owners in Germany during Xmas, the general consensus seemed to be that if your Lader is still happily playing, DON'T mess around with it, and certainly do not use an axe to open it up  . Seen it all before ...

Took approx. 3 weeks before I received my goodie pack, so 1 week is nothing. Just sit back and relax ... 8) Tempest

Yes, as the standard 80 mm pulley rotates at 1.66 times the crankshaft speed, and taking into consideration that the G-Lader is only menat to run at speeds of up to 12,000 rpm, you can quickly see that the smaller the pulley, the closer you're getting to that 12,000 max. figure. There's a good calculator here (then click on Tipps/G-Schwindigkeit on the menu) allowing you to enter pulley size (Laderradgrösse) and revs (maximale Drehzahl pro Minute), click on "Berechnen" and it'll tell you the rotational velocity of your Lader. For example, 68 mm pulley doing 7000 rpm results in the G-Lader rotating at 13,671 rpm, thus exceeding its safe speed of 12,000. You can now see why a smaller pulley has such an effect on the life-span of the Lader, the faster it rotates the quicker it wears, simple laws of physics, really 8) . Tempest

Right on the CCGB website :) Tempest

Should look really good with those Ronals 8) Well, I'm already looking forward to switching over to summer time again, longer evenings, can finally take some daylight shoots at the Coventry meets :D Do you mean the 15th April, or is there another meet on the 18th ? I posted something on the events forum for the 15th April here. Tempest

Oeerr, got the clear side markers come through yesterday as well after a 4 months wait :multi: Will have to do a bit of soldering, as they're not entirely plug&play, but should look good rather than those ugly amber ones ... Now onto those Lupo wipers ... Tempest

Body Shops in the Coventry Leamington & Warick area
Tempest replied to Hatton VR6 Nut's topic in General Car Chat
For "simpler" jobs I take my Roccos/Rado to Ricwells in Coventry, he's located in Spon End, in Unit 2 Arcges Industrial Estate Tel.: 024 76715777 Whereabouts in Warwickshire are you based? You might like to keep an eye on the Midlands Meet thread in the Events forum 8) Tempest -
Same here, got my £15 back by simply booking a ferry to the continent with Drewes Travel, where CCGB members get a 10% discount. Tempest

Oh, forgot to mention: The finish on these alloys seems a wee bit flakey (compared to other brands). I've had them on for 13 months, and the chromy bits around the outer ring are starting to flake off  Then again, they're not badly priced for 17" alloys, you get what you pay for, I guess ... Tempest

I personally like those wheels as well, one reason that I'm leaving mine on for the time being (silver ones): Only downside is that too many other Rados have them  Oh well, might have sorted that problem: Swapping alloys with a German mate of mine, he's never seen the BK299s in Germany, I've never seen his Dezent 16" alloys in the UK, sorted ! :D Tempest

OK, I'll contact the guy in Germany tonight, now that we've got 7 sets so far, and see what discount I can get. Will let you know, also re: postage to the Isle of Man. Tempest

Yup, that's why I got some new shiny ones from my stealer, cost me £24  But then again I managed to sell the old worn ones for £30 to someone ion the US  Tempest

Not the cleanest of all, but getting there :) Actually that picture is now out of date, as that piccie was taken by the previous owner, since then some cleaning has taken place, best get the digicam out again  Tempest

Uhm, excuse me, but that I'll have to protest at, being a BIG Rocco-fan myself. I'll let you get away with it, though, as I don't know enough about the UK market back then compared to the German market back then. At least things have changed, more Roccos are now owned by enthousiasts. Erm, nope, even not despite your smilie  , as the DX-engine will cunningly demonstrate, or my tuned JH (which nobody this side of the small pond knows of  ) :) Tempest

As you've already found out, the answer is yes. The ECU assumes a value of λ=1 when it's not getting a signal from the sensor. I know someone in Germany who's been running his G60 Passat for nearly 2 years with the sensor disconnected without any problems, before he then replaced the sensor to get him through German emission tests :) This is assuming that all the other sensors and engine parts are OK. Tempest

Anyone else? Ideally could do with a few more than just 5 units ... Tempest

Hall sender sits on the right hand side of your dizzy (when standing in front of the engine bay), you can pull the plug off and do some tests. Otherwise check your fuse #18 (20 A, for the fuel pump and Lambdaprobe heater). Tempest

The G60 does not have a air mass meter, it measures the intake air temperature (sits inside the little black connector on your air intake hose - the same as your CO-pot, and boost pressure (through that thin 1-meter long hose already mentioned by Henny. Try disconnecting the Lambdasensor (pull off the connector located on your right hand side motor mount (left hand side when standing in front of your engine bay), that made a hell of a difference with my G60 recently, as I discovered the sensor had died. You can also stick a multimeter onto your Lambdasensor, with a warmed up engine it should fluctuate between 0.1 V and 0.9 V, if it's stuck at a single value, or dithers round that value, the sensor is knackered. Here's a piccie of the smoked In.Pros on my Rado :D Tempest
-
Just had a reply from the seller in Germany: He can do the smoked In.Pros for approx. £165 (€230), and the clear/red ones as well as the clear ones (M3 style) for approx. £175 (€240). Postage to the UK is around the €12 (approx. £9) per set. Depending on numbers I can negotiate a discount. So far I counted 5 people wanting to go for the smoked ones. Anyone else wanting to join to get the numbers up, so I can get a reasonable discount? BTW: At this stage, as I've already got mine at the normal price of €230 (which is cheap even by German standards), I have no vested interest in selling these lights with or without discount, just trying to help where I can 8) Tempest
