Corrado with Rallye Kit

Recommended Posts

Have seen a couple of C's with rallye headlights and tbh they are a bit smaller than C ones and don't look great... imo C headlights on a rallye looks like a better mod 8)

Nah, Jetta lights are taller than the pukka Rallye lights. It's the choice of cheapskates that want the Rallye look on their Mk.2 Golfs. I have a feeling the Rallye lights used some sort of projector light set-up too.

Aren't Rally lights an obscene amount of money? I remember from my MK2 days you were looking at a grand for the lights and slam panel

I think when my mate bought the Rallye lights and slam panel for his Mk.2 16v in 1997 they cost him £500 new. Sounds pretty obscene to me! I'm guessing they're cheaper now though.

German Car Company used to do Rallye front end kits for £500 approx, I used drool over the one on show every time I went there, untill I got my C :D

The lights are crap too. I make a loom for them, they are so bad.

The outer lights go off when you go to main beam. You can see into the distance but not close up. My loom keeps the dip on with main beam selected. Defo a step back from the std lights on a Golf. I think they look good though, just would never have any.

got any pics Phil??

Sorry mate no pics.. think the rocco above shows that the lights just aren't wide enough and wouldn't suit the C.. the only pic I've seen of a C with rallye lights was on here about a year ago.

I quite like oe lights but with the black detailing around the bowls. I've just made a good contact with a glass company and have been talking to them about polishing the glass on my lights to remove the pattern giving it a more modern look. Trouble with doing this is they would be even worse at night as I'll lose the beam pattern the lens gives (will also be illegal) however they will look ace for shows 8)

yeah but the rallye arch and the corrado swage line makes the look a little crowded on the front and therefore makes it looks a little odd. The rear looks good imo.
