Silly question (well not the silliest thing I could've posted ):

What are the ears for?

I've heard that they're to stop the thing lifting up at speed and/or to deflect stones away from the windscreen.

Pity they dont do one that protects the slam panel and the front bumper too.

They do, VWoA do a complete bra with the word Corrado stitched on the bra as well :-)

Piccie only shows the bonnet part.

Can get pricing info, if anyone's interested.

Create turbulance which then deflects the Black Flies (USA) off the screen in the direct vision path of the driver and passenger. Black Flies was as I understood it the reason for these covers in the USA states affected by the seasonal problem. Somebody States Side will chirp up soon with the detail background.

Just had word that indeed the VWoA (that's VW of America) bras as shown in my picture further above (that moron sticking his hand out of the window on the passenger seat - LHD Rado - is me BTW ) do come with a bumper cover, too.

Just waiting for a price, if anyone's interested :-) Smell another group buy or what?

Yep, i'd be interested Tempest and there was a fair bit of interest last time this came up but nothing seemed to materialise on the supplier front. So sounds good mate if you can get some prices.

PS what are the rims on that C in the pick then??

Sorry, I just don't get the point???

I suppose its fair enough if you have a totally pristine car which you only take to shows and stuff and it keeps the front stone chip free on the occasional trips it does, but I would rather have a few stone chips on the front and not have the thing on there as they look stupid to me. Sorry

Yeah I think if you

a) had it on a dark car (or if it was colour coded ) or

b) lost those ears

then it would be a decent thing to do.

(Moving to Exterior seeing as though it's developed into a discussion.)

I won't bother going into my old 'like keeping the plastic screen protector on your mobile' analogy again, but I agree.. what is the point? :)

triggermyson - I think it's more akin to having one of those leather carry-cases for your phone, but good analogy.

Personally, I think they look pretty silly, but meh, whatever floats your boat

I like them on some cars, mk1 golfs all retro'd up with a roof-rack suit a nice bra without question, I'm just not sure it looks at home on a corrado as a 'style' item. Fair play to Garath though, if my car was as mint as his i'd be protecting the front end from flying grit during the winter.

Wouldn't that bra thing become a grit trap in bad weather? Imagine that thing grinding the trapped grit into your paintwork on every journey. Nice.

For those who 'are' interested and when a group buy is started put me down!
