hehe! looks like hennys multi-wheeled monster!

what you all need is some of those float thingys they tie to boats to stop them cracking the hulls when they're docking, much more classy than a rubber ring!

It is weird all these incidents have happened so close to eachother! Fingers crossed no more happen.

It's not just Corrados. I see at least one prang every day this time of year on my local dual-carriageway, and at least 1 pile up a month. I don't know how the above happened (apart from Harry Hill's) but I blame it on Sh1t roads, over-crowded sh1t roads, sh1t drivers (above excluded obviously ;-) ) that drive into you etc etc, which all adds up to a higher chance of a prang on Britain's roads today.

why does it come as a suprise to people that its dark in winter with slippy roads... every year ? this coupled with the heater full blast and the driver semi conscious/drowsy is always a recipe for disaster, so you have to be on your toes for the dozey driver to do the unexpected

i hope not to see anymore "my c is dead" posts :-( , the onlysaving grace is no one has been injured

s**t drivers (above excluded obviously Wink )

nah kev, I feel like a prize tw@ for not making sure my handbrake was on properly, even though the same thing has happened to a few people and been blamed on hot brake disc's cooling down etc, i know if i'd pulled it just that 'little' bit harder I'd not be in this position now. accidents happen though, sadly. I openly admit I'm a sh*t driver, and if i didnt my g/f would make sure everyone knew anyway!

All very true.

I have taken to hiding my car in the garage for a month or two! Mostly because I have another car to drive that is cheap and reliable, but all these murders make me glad my baby is locked away!

And it isn't just Corrados, I live in a pretty quiet rural town in Cornwall and I see bashed up calls and accidents all the time! Some idiot in an escort pulled out of a junction straight infront of my mum in her landrover td5 t'other day, guess who came out worst off! :)

Yeah they're tough cars Corrados, despite the interiors making you feel otherwise!

Not enough people make allowances for over crowding and poor weather. If you do maintain the Highway code guidelines for braking distances, you get some arsehole up your chuff because you're seen as an obstruction. And it's these people that complain the loudest when they crash, blaming it on a lack of rock salt on the roads etc and not their sheeeite driving.

Well I wasn't going to be the first to say it :-) Only messing mate..... the funny thing about that mess was Nosky did exactly the same thing on the same road on the same day (IIRC?) :-)

It's not your fauly per se.... it's VW's for making such diabolical rear brakes. it's a very well documented problem that, worldwide. At least BMW and Vauxhall have the common sense to use a drum brake (inside the rear disc) for the parking brake....VW? Nah....sod em....let them put it in gear if that concerned!

about a week after I think, but yeah, parked within 20ft of where I'd been! lucky for him that 20ft difference meant the incline was slightly less and it didnt go far!

It's not a case of making sure it's on properly, VW handbrakes have never been good until the mk4 calipers came along - ALWAYS park in gear!!!!

my driveway has an incline so i always leave it in gear and the handbrake creaks like a coffin lid , you really have to yank it to get it to hold well , definitely not to be relied on
