Thought I'd post up a few pics of my 'Rado and say thank you to the Forum for all the advice in it's restoration.

 

1990 Hreg 1.8 16V with FSH

 

Bodywork

 

    Full bare shell respray in original black

    Crystal side repeaters

    De-locked boot with Cult Society panel and solenoid release

    New OEM side rubbing strips

    New OEM roof gutter trims

    New OEM 90mm front spoiler and rain gutters

    Rebuilt sunroof mechanism

 

Chassis

    H&R Springs with Boge Turbo Gas shocks

    PowerFlex bushes throughout

    New G60 280mm front calipers and discs

    New rear calipers and discs

    Pagid fast road pads front and rear

    New hoses and Castrol synthetic fluid

    New-Old-Stock BBS RS 7 x 15" alloys with Goodyear F1 GSD3 195/50/15 tyres

    Reconditioned Sebring 6 x 15" alloys with Falken 185/55/15 tyres

 

 

Engine

    TSR Performance fitted Pack A head and S/S 4 branch manifold

    New camshaft followers, cam belt and cambelt tensioner

    Supersprint full exhaust system

    K&N panel filter element

Thoroughly enjoyed building the car and reading posts on the forum.

 

There sure are some nice Corrados on the here, that have been inspirational.

 

TRIGGERMYSON: Next step was going to be the interior....but with a baby on the way the Rado may well be for sale to make way for something a little more practical

Great looking car chap. I think it'd benefit from a late-style grille though (and maybe even a black VW badge).

I have toyed with a later grill, but I want to keep the car looking it's age and little more 'old school'.

 

A black badge though I may try.

 

I've just got a set of NOS front and rear 16v badges, but can't decide whether to fit them or not.

 

What do you guys think?
