dinkus 10 Posted April 10, 2006 Blimey - if you thought Corrados were rare - VR6 Ventos are even rarer!
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Blimey - if you thought Corrados were rare - VR6 Ventos are even rarer! Yup, there's one for sale on here isn't there? That's a sleeper :D
ardandy 0 Posted April 10, 2006 According to my calculations, the are/were 3516 VR6 Corrado's sold in the UK! Wonder how many are left?
ardandy 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Wait a minute? Are all storms 1996 or were some sold in 95? If not, then what happened to the other 190 cars?
vr6storm 0 Posted April 10, 2006 no mention of passat VR6's there tho
vr6storm 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Wait a minute? Are all storms 1996 or were some sold in 95? If not, then what happened to the other 190 cars? errrr..........Storm's came out in May 1995............

Trig 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Good bit of info there :thumbleft:
Storm77 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Quite interesting how the figures were right down compared to the Golf VR6 when they first came out. It seemed to take a couple of years for word to travel that they were good cars as in '94 the figures are more balanced. Would love to know how many VRs are left. They only sold 49 autos in total and that was just in 95! Interesting figures. Thought the Highlines were alot rarer than that!
dr_mat 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Wasn't the Golf VR6 replaced by the "Golf V6" and the 4motion models in the late 90s? That would explain the cliff-dive in sales figures after 97..
Yandards 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Interesting from the point of view that there should be more 16v/G60's out there but the forum seems to have a larger proportion of VR owners than any of the other marks. It's also interesting that the C only sold a few less than the Golf when it came to VR's when they were competing. Would be good to see the sales figures for all the Corrados through its lifespan. dr_mat 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Aye there should be about 6500 16v/G60s out there, total. Or there once were.. Bear in mind a lot of the 1.8 16vs are much older and less likely to still be around, and the G60 never sold that well, certainly not like the VR.. Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 11, 2006 no mention of passat VR6's there tho  Probably because it's not a Golf based platform.....
Campaign 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Blimey - if you thought Corrados were rare - VR6 Ventos are even rarer! I've had two :), but I wonder if that included the 20-odd that were in the Vento Cup? And I wonder how many of them were police ones?
Supercharged 2 Posted April 11, 2006 Hmmm - the only Corrado VR6 auto's were sold in 95, 49 of them must have included the 20 Storms but i'm sure i've seen a 93 or 94 auto...
ardandy 0 Posted April 11, 2006 How accurate are these? Are they from VW?
VR6 Russ 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Does anyone have any way of finding out how many registered Corrado's are left, on the roads. Would be very interesting of seeing how many have gone to the big scrapyard in the sky....
ardandy 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Probably only DVLA can find that out, and its unlikely they'll tell anyone! Anybody fancy ringing and giving it a try?
Supercharged 2 Posted April 11, 2006 I called them last year and they confirmed that I own the only Corrado in the UK that is registered to run on 'heavy oil' and they were quite helpful but when I started asking about numbers of Corrado's left etc of each model I don't think the info was that easy to analyse - I reckon they could get the figures easily enough but it may take a bit of time... Guest Posted April 11, 2006 How accurate are these? Are they from VW? The Following figures have been provided by Volkswagens Marketing Department /me cleans andy's eyes good bit of trivia, I would be interested to see how many are still running, the DVLA must know that. unfortunately my list of contacts doesn't stretch that far

Jonny_L 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Hang on, I've got a 1994 VR6 auto on an L reg. Does that mean my car doesn't really exist? ...goes and checks the driveway... Unless it wasn't officially sold til 95 maybe? I'll have a look at the paperwork sometime
