Leonard 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Apologies for my lack of wheel fitting knowledge I just cant get my head around it all :D Can anyone tell me how I will get on with the above, before I fit them? Many Thanks Matt :compress:
Riley 0 Posted April 26, 2006 is the vr offset 45? if it is you will have wheel arch problems rather than inner clearance problems...if any at all that is. not sure on exact clearances though sorry m8. but they will be sat out of the arch more.(if the vr offset is 45) neil. :)
gradeAfailure 0 Posted April 26, 2006 It's exactly the same size and offset as RS301s - as long as you're not -100mm down or anything, you'll be fine... :)
Leonard 0 Posted April 27, 2006 Nice one I knew you wouldnt let me down :bounce2: Cheers Matt
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 27, 2006 I always subtract half the new wheel's extra width from the original wheel's offset as a baseline number for preventing inner arch rubbing. So 7.5J is 1" wider than standard, so half of that is 12mm, ET45 less 12 gives you ET33 ;-) Generally, 7.5 and 8J need to be ET35 or as close to as possible to avoid rubbage.
