Will 17 inch 7.5 wheels with a 33 offset fit ok on my VR6?

Apologies for my lack of wheel fitting knowledge I just cant get my head around it all :D

Can anyone tell me how I will get on with the above, before I fit them?

is the vr offset 45?

 

if it is you will have wheel arch problems rather than inner clearance problems...if any at all that is.

not sure on exact clearances though sorry m8.

 

but they will be sat out of the arch more.(if the vr offset is 45)

I always subtract half the new wheel's extra width from the original wheel's offset as a baseline number for preventing inner arch rubbing.

 

So 7.5J is 1" wider than standard, so half of that is 12mm, ET45 less 12 gives you ET33 ;-)

 

Generally, 7.5 and 8J need to be ET35 or as close to as possible to avoid rubbage.

ET33 on 17x7.5's is bang on for a C VR6,like gradeA said it's the same offset as the BBS RS301's which where pretty much made for the VR6...
