Most fun motoring for..

Recommended Posts

I can't believe no-one's mentioned a Renault 5 GT Turbo (Phase II)!

They are much more fun to drive than a Corrado and far better handling, in fact I'd still have mine if it wasn't so expensive to run and and as reliable as the Corrado...but we're talking about 'most fun motoring'

I'm definately going to try and get to a point in my life where I have a reliable daily and have about 5k to just burn on a great car and pick up something like an 840i. I'll maintain it as much as I can afford to but basically write off the cash and if it gets to the point where I can no longer afford to run it, just sell it as is.

If i was spending that for pure track fun then it would be a bike every day of the week, like THIS for example.

But on the road fun then i would get an S2 or something.

Always liked the 8 series - similar to te C in that it is rare and was a business failure for BMW. And as this example shows its fairly cheap to buy now, the problem may be it could be hugely expensive to repair. Still,i might consider it some time next year.
