One of my mates was cruising and passed some nice women and looked round to see if they were checking him out - looked back round only to find the traffic had stopped and crashed into the back of a SAAB - after that EVERYONE was checking him out! :lol:

Tasteless modifcations and add ons. Very easy to spoil the looks and balance. Must have been pretty much right from the factory.

So, to sum it up. if you lose the door handles, sort out the headlights and the windscreen wipers, fit 4WD and a 6 speed, and can get parts a bit cheaper it's perfect?

I noticed no one slagged of the gearchange, when the 02A is meant to be a notoriously hideous gearbox for shifter feel.

The rarity, I love it when I see another. I really don't think you could say that about many other dubs, maybe the mk1 goof.

Thanks more to go as I trawl through the history. Forgot about the noise :cuckoo: . Remember taking our kid bro in the Corrado; first time he'd been in it for years and he commented on how the V6 still sounded so good on song.

Nah it's good to dig up some old threads from time to time to remind us of the good old days :D

 

So much has changed on mine over 7 years but I still love it.

 

I have only 1 hate to add:-

 

If you have the window slightly open when it's raining, water pours in!

 

My old MK2s never did that, they had proper rain gutters!

how good they look slammed with a little bit of poke

sunny days and country lanes, with the windows down and the amazing sound of a vr

No matter how long you spend dying the car, water will always escape from the roof strips and fall straight through your open window all over your interior!!

Again drying the car and a gallon of water will escape from the rear lights and from above the bumper! IT MAKES ME MAD!!!

Being greeted very politely by the stealers “Trust Volkswagen”. “Hello I’m calling regarding my 94 Corrado”. “Oh, what do YOU want!?”

People who replace the standard mirrors for aftermarket ones (Sorry don’t want to offend anyone but the standard ones rule!!)
