A comeback is looming...

looking good, 17's are way more practical. Just sort out your spacing and clearance and you'll be happy to stick to 17's

Wow, that looks so much like mine did :( .. LM's are a good looking wheel on the Rado... and will be a breeze to clean after the BSX's!

Abs what's the offset of them then? Fairly sure 90% of 17-4x100 reps came in as ET35 which is pretty much bang on!

When refurbing them bear in mind the "nuts" are plastic, you can remove and replace them, speak to Paul at R-Tec in St-Albans, they had some replacements, (including Gold if you want the bling look)!

Cheers Zak.

Mr Deviant... they give the car a bit more of a modern twist! These are et35 and tbh sit like shit. Because ive got a bit of camber on the front the wheels tuck in even more so it looks a bit horrid at the mo. Some spacers will sort that like said!

Cheers for the shout on Rtec, ill give them a bel, alternatively i might just get some normal bolts and chop em down n stick em on... will probably wear a lot better. Hows your Rado? Missing Beckton?

LOL

Love the lm reps how do you find the quality/weight ?

as for colour what about this?

http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/Fil ... e=Charcoal Anthracite

That colour would look sweet with a polished lip, decided against matt black centres as it'd look too aggressive and take away what little class the car has left lol. As far as quality, they seem pretty decent, weight wise i couldn't say because i haven't really been driving the car hard because i hate the yoko parada tyres that are on the rims, once those are changed to something more suitable ill let you know! They didnt seem much different to my 16" lenso bsx that i had before though.

Sure they're not my old ones? One hasn't been kerbed?

Prada's fine in the dry, (as you know on the test drive in mine!) horror in the wet!

PS Crackle Black and polished lip, black bolts!

Cheers Swompy 8)

J, they might be, 2 of the tyres need to be changed soon anyway, 1 of the wheels is curbed quite badly, the rest are fine. Crackle black would be expensive lol.. Oh and the tyres are ok in the dry and uber shite in the wet, the car squigles about like a pig in mud!

Carter they're defo 7.5's, the 205s sidewall is dead square! I was thinking of puting on 195/40s for a bit more clearance but tbh the 205's are a lot more comfy!

Nice car. The LM reps do look good. A good depth of shine on the car too :D

Cheers mate, im well proud of my cars bodywork lol. A straight shell was pretty much my priority when buying it, unfortunately alot of valvers have shabby bodywork for some reason :confused4:

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed spacers!!!!!!!! Broke as*ed atm, just bought road tax, mot some time this week or early next week and service due lol. Once they're sorted ill get some H&R spacers on all round, 15 and 20mm hubcentrics should do the job. :D

Liking your motor buddy.

Running the same rims as I am, but mine are 8J.

Glad you find yours comfy on 205's, I'm on 195s and it's like having solid rubber wheels!

Get the engine conversion moving ; )

Thanks dude, see the problem is, i cant settle on one car, ive had my eyes on something since i bought this and tbh i dont think ill be keeping it much longer. Its been up for sale before but im going to keep it till i get my 3rd ncb and then most likely get rid. If i do for whatever reason keep it there'll be a nice sum of moneys saved up for the new car that i can spend on this lol.

On your 8s id go with 205/40s tbh. Will look nicer than mine and be comfy, u can obviously stick to the 195's if u want but unless your running super stance i wouldn't bother.

I was just chatting to a mate about this and looking at pics of my old A3, suddenly im asking myself WHY THE FECK did i sell that car? lol, it may have been boring but it was a hell of a car regardless lol. Tbh, rado insurance makes me sick, with my 3rd ncb coming up more cars are becoming insurable and it suddenly make no sense to pour money into my 15 yr old coupe/hatchback while paying 1.5k to insure it when i could have something with twice the power and pay less on insurance, do u know what i mean? I love the car n all but its begining to make less sense everytime i think about it.

I hate insurance.

Yeah it doesn't look bad on them. Only just bought the car, think you know it.

Like the smoked headlights think it looks moody!

Ahh you bought Sukh's old corrado? The bronze one? I tried to force my mate to swap his A3 for it but it didnt happen in the end.

Well bad news for moi, my hours at work half just been halfed due clashing with my uni timetable so the rado might go up for sale prematurely unless i can sort out something ASAP! Just when my finances settle they F up all over again! Rado still needs a damn service too!!

Nightmare news mate! Car looks stunning all the same, reallylike that colour, i haven't seen many that colour before!?

Where do you get this Lamin-x stuff? Did you paint the inserts too? I really like the moodiness it gives off!

Oh and the colour isn't exactly rare but its not as common as some other colours. You dont see many about but there are 2 Vr's for sale in this colour at the mo on pistonheads, other than those and 4 others on here ive not seen any.

Going for the dreaded MOT on tuesday, will have to raise the car up as i cant get full lock at the mo... After that it'll be up for sale. I still want to save up for the next car etc so want to roll about in something cheaper to run and insure for the next few months.
