Scott 0 Posted January 22, 2004 Hi Guys, I have just found a nice pool of water coming out from under the VR.... Coming from the coil pack area.... so ripped the coil pack out and the sheilds, etc and was created by something that looks like a motor with a black plastic cap on end that connects to the matrix pipe and the water header tank pipe..... It looks like the water is coming from the joint between this plastic part and the motor??? Im assuming this is the aux water pump? If so how much for new one and where from? Any advice? :D

Gaz154 0 Posted January 22, 2004 mine went just before xmas £65 + vat dead easy to change i actually got mine from and audi garage they seem to have changed the design but that wouldn't indicate a fault with the original i don't suppose don't know which audi the go in ???
Bolster 0 Posted March 11, 2004 £59.84 +vat from VW (so cheaper than the Audi part). I pick mine up tomorrow. Mine had self distructed big time.
Bolster 0 Posted March 14, 2004 That was actuall £58.94 +vat. The new ones are a better design so won't suffer from the same problem.
vr6corrado 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Mine went today, water leaking from the aux pump, bought one for £69 inc from the stealers. Because the design has changed slightly couldn't get it to fit as tightly as the original.

MikeVR6 0 Posted August 4, 2004 Anyone know the Ford part number for a VR6 ABV code engine? Or if this is available elsewhere?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 4, 2004 The Galaxy never got the ABV engine. Not sure if Ford used the Aux pump system or not, though it's worth asking them. Maybe we should get hold of a copy of Ford's parts system too
bigpants baby 0 Posted August 4, 2004 i have one,£29 inc p+p (to the uk)

dr_mat 0 Posted August 5, 2004 You could try Ford for one from a Galaxy VR6 too...
MikeVR6 0 Posted August 5, 2004 The Galaxy never got the ABV engine Did the Galaxy use the 2.8 VR6 engine then? Suppose it would have done. They must have an Aux Water Pump too, can't imagine the Galaxy's engine bay is any bigger than the Corrado's. Therefore it must also run quite hot. Any Ford part no's out there? dr_mat 0 Posted August 5, 2004 The Galaxy had the AAA engine, yeah, but it had all the same anciliaries as the Golf, so shares all the same parts. They just have Ford badges instead!! :)

dr_mat 0 Posted August 5, 2004 The Golfs do... Yup... But the galaxy engine parts are all stamped with Ford logos and ford part numbers only. I have a Ford PCV on my VR6...

Ooh interesting, I would have thought they'd have saved the extra cost and just used the VW parts... I've got a Galaxy breather valve on my VR, I couldn't give a monkeys what badge is on it as long as it does the job properly.
