Late TYPE Corrado dash insert

Recommended Posts

As per title. Good condition but did have crack in top right corner, which I've repaired with Loctite superglue. One tab broken & one been glued but these don't affect anything. £35.00 posted. PM for pictures please.

But how does it come out! I broke the right hand air vent trying to feck around with it. What's the trick for taking those screws out that go up into the top of the dash?

Now that I don't know! Fortunately I have the 'Obi Wan' (Chris, Lilfuzzer on here) of the Corrado world that lives nearby & he kindly did it for me. I'm sure he'll reveal all if you ask him!

Sorry mate I don't. They are difficult to find.

Try a wanted post on here as that's where I found one in better nick than my original one. Good luck!

Hi. I have a late model insert. It's not perfect but if you pm me your email

address, I will send you some images and you can make a decision. I have had problems posting photographs hence the email.

You need an angled screwdriver with replaceable bits. Its a real mission otherwise!

I've also got a ratchet spanner with a hex socket that is fitted into the spanner and you simply use the bit profile you need.

Yeah, a mini ratchet wrench with a screw driver bit is the best way. Took me a while to figure out but works a treat. There's a screw like this in each dash vent and another tricky one behind and above the ABS light.

They are indeed hard to find. I waited around 18 months looking for a decent one going for less than £100. Even the average condition ones were £75+.

I got lucky with an ebay purchase thankfully and although it does have one broken tab, I certainly can't complain for what I ended up paying for it the auction.

I too use a ratchet with a 1/4 adapter and a posi drive bit. Its the only way without marking or breaking the surround.

Yes I had a couple of stubby screwdrivers but they weren't stubby enough.. presumably assembled by small children in the factory.. Right angle driver or a socket wrench should work, yep, good call.
