Karmann the Corrado

Have you got this out and about yet?

I have been enjoying mine with no running issues, but now hear a bump at the rear off side. May just be the junk in the boot or toolkit unsecured. The old exhaust or suspension... I just need some time to get underneath her. 🫣

Yeah, been legal for the road since May, although most of that has entailed parking in the garage out of the rain! Used it for commuting to Eckington most of this week, except today when I gave the TT a run out, and I’ll be in it again tomorrow because I’m planning going for an MoT in the afternoon.

I was originally hoping to go to Chatsworth with CCGB last weekend but we were away so had to miss it.

I always thought the clunks and creaks were standard with the Corrado?

Time away, but I do still check in. I have enjoyed having the Corrado constantly taxed and insured,  so I can drive it when I feel like it.

This last week she has been out for 4 days in horrible weather's.  Bloody filthy but faultless and enjoyable driving surprisingly. Great fun

I hope you are all well  and looking forward to Christmas 🎄.  Take care people and keep enjoying your Corrado

Santa brought me some tailgate struts. I read somewhere these are possibly the oe supplier.  They look the part anyway. Next job is to fit then, so I shall post up when done. I may still get the originals refurbished,  which was my original plan

Boxing day, but let's not waste time. I swapped over the tailgate struts and I am happy with their power. A quick job that only left me with a missing circlip as it pinged off th the back of the garage into a pile of junk.

I'd rather get a replacement than spend 3hrs looking through that mess.

And I also found my tailgate popper was broken 😢 Very disappointed with that. The search begins..... so if anyone can help, please shout up 👍

I did get a new “popper” at the beginning of the year from classic parts (Germany) wasn’t cheap

I don't suppose you can find the part number. I always like a delivery from Classic parts  😇
