Windscreen shirt top seal

The top straight windscreen seal. I have the other bits but need this so the windscreen can get taken out and put back in correctly. 

Reward for the person that helps me sort this.

ASAP please as it is booked in for the end of next week.

Windscreen needs to be sorted so that the lower trim will fit and I can go out when it rains...🙄😇

I have the ebay item above fitted to my screen when I replaced earlier this year and can vouch they are decent quality.

cressa - i have a set of the windscreen side trims spare which are brand new from heritage if you need them

i brought the encapsulated version of a new windscreen & as such it had all the trim bits already on it

Says in the description they are VW items. I need the same seal as you so ordered the one off eBay. Generally they brake the plastic bits removing the screen.

Mine was the same mate. I had bought the other bits yet the windscreen came fully prepared. . Thanks for the offer. 

I do just need the top seal, but may end up buying the same as Shaun, for the one seal....... and I may not need them at all !!

Where did you get yours from and how much was it matey, does it have the option  of a coloured sun screen across the top?

i got it direct from pilkington's as my friend has a m8 who works there but try giving them a call direct

yes they had stock of various options, clear, blue stripe or green stripe IIRC

also options for encapsulate or non-encapsulated but i would recommend the encapsulated as it came with all the trims attached & i think the clips etc 

only thing it didnt come with was the fitting blocks, which are still available from VW

Here in Canada, nobody sells windscreens for our car anymore and I'm wondering if Pilkington's would send one or more my way?
Does someone have their contact info, email address by any chance?

The Americans would pay 600 dollars for a new windscreen - call up Sekurit Gobain (OE Manufacturer) HQ USA and ask them to make a shipment for you  chap .

I called about a dozen of businesses here and no one can get them anymore. No manufacturers supplies them here in Canada. I tried contacting them directly saying I could organize a group buy, like 5 to 10 but that's not enough, would need several hundreds... A friend bought a parts car and I ended up paying to get the used windscreen off as it is the only way left to have one here... Pretty sad!

I’m leaning to the pilkington all in one joby, going on my last two experiences it can’t be any worse than the oe method. I’m going to ring them up this week, I’ll let you know how much they are.

I could do with just the outer seal as I knackered mine trying to fit it after spraying my car, so you could recoup some of the money if you bought the full kit and sold the outer seal to me?

ABV this is the part number from factory for a front green  windscreen. 535845011C I have searched ebay for you.

From factory from parts diagram they has two options clear or green tint. 

This is  OE Saint Gobain green and the one I would go for same as factory- very nice indeed.
