    The TT 225 hp engine is stronger, internals are beefed up, bigger injectors and compression is different to 180hp. There are loads of available kits for these, 400whp are achiavable on stock internals and 25-30 psi of boost. Many 180hp enignes are pushed to nearly 400whp stock internals but with the tt 225 engine you would see higher numbers and be safer, these power figures are of course with different turbos like TO4 ang Gt35 series.
  3. My g60 spits fire and blows everytime i rev past 4k rpm and change gear, i dont have a cat. Flames usually come on high boosted cars, when changing gear ie closing the throttle u get more fuel than usual due to lack of boost, then when you open the throttle the boost kicks some unburnt petrol out in the exhaust which then it burns due to high temps which you see the lound bangs and flames coming out of the back. Flames coming out of a tuned boosted engine look COOL because the car has balls but doin it artificialy like those flame kits is stupid. Id assume the fiat is a 1.4 turbo. migs

    the tooth on the pipe is not deep enough maybe, or try and tighten the clip harder, you could damage your engine if your boost pipes blow when under full throttle so better be safe then sorry.

    ask darren he has few of them kits, u will need isv reroute, and blanking on plate, if u got a big budged u might also think of gettin the new catchtank darren is sellin looks nice and no oil smell in the cabin at all.

    Well the benefits that you get is the sound that the car makes. Sounds as if you have a dump valve. Another benefit is the heat reduction of the charger,when air is recurculated back to it it warms up therefore it heats the charger more which heats the overall boosted air. You wont losse any boost at full throttle because any returned air is clossed of by the butterfly vlave. Another benefit is that you dont get any oil residues into your charger (poluting) the charger and lowering the octane of your fuel. Only thing you have to sort out is put an isv resoute on your car and a oil catch tank or something to deal with your oil breather, i have put a filter in mine.
  16. alex check the oil level which is the easiest thing to do, If level is fine and still buzzing than there aint enough pressure. If you go around a bend too quick that will happen, also sometimes if you rev when engine is cold it will go off. DId he stop the car? Did he losse any oil at all? rgds migs

    Boost Gauge

    I bought the same pod with 2 holes,i have a air/fuel and boost gauge. To put it in that location as the pic you put the vacume cable through your dash speaker and hten out of your firewall through one of the holes. Personally i have conected hte boost tube where the co pot was previously conected to boost,would make it easier if my cam worked i could have taken a pic of my set up. i suggest that you buy a air fuel gauge aswell,will save you any major engine damage if youplan to play with timing and fueling. just my 2p migs

    You ppl need to look more into the cooling of the air ie intercoolers. IC is a soft spot on g60 so dosent make any sense to spend 2k on a 2l conversion when you can spend 300 pounds or so in a better intercooler. My g60 dosent have a cam but im still making peak hp at 5800 rpm and peak touque at 4000rpm, is so much fun. It dosent heatsink at all, plus easy mods like rsr outlet help airflow and stop any possible air leaks. G60 is a very fun engine indeed :-P .

    Wheel Spinning

    Just posted a similar topic on general car talk section. In wet i loose loads of power up till 3rd if i boot it, in dry though is better but still there is wheelspin. I think the cheapest way do do this is put slick tires at front when you use the car at the track dragin or if you wanna have fun on a dry road.
  20. Have been suffereing latley from ridicolous wheel spin in wet weather and cold temps. My mate bought a brand new TT 225 a month ago and he wanted to race me. Anyway we did race once and he beat me but was really wet. Today though was another story on the A10. At the lights there was me him and suprisingly a Ferrari 360 Modena pulled up. We was going nuts when we saw it, off the lights i pulled first modena second and tt third after a split second modena left him and me, i left TT about 4 car lengths and we pulled to about 100mph and he still couldnt pass lol. Tried it 3 more times off the lights same story untill he addmited it but deep down he was crying and i was :D :D . My point is that wet roads cut more than 40% of the power on most g60s due to the great tourqe at low revs and crappy traction. I dont encourage street racing in any way. rgds migs
  21. u ppl do the traction each time u lower it or take it higher? you must as your tires will not wear out evenly,traction will be lost aswell. migs g60 (for sale)

My mate has one and this thing is ridiculously quick- it acclerates in 4th and 5th like a corrado does in first- there 4.6 sec to 60 and beleive me it feel like you been hit up the A-hole by a train when this thing accelerates. Ive had my G60 Dyno'd at 211bhp and my matees EVO leaves me like im standing with the engine switched off- he could proably spin it around and reverse past me! i agre with u gringo, i dont think dalevr6 knows what hes on about, evo 7 are seriously quick
