  1. mate check your timing, retarted or advanced timing sometimes causes this, otherwise you will destroy your exhaust due time

    re-spray

that sounds cheap to me, depends on the quality of work i guess

    boost

just wanted to say that not all g60 have this bleeding off feature, on some american g60 iv heard this feature doesnt exist,i havent done much research on this myself but if you are returning the boost back into the intake pipe and assuming that you have removed the return boost pipe runing a bit extra rich might be a solution for saving you from pinking on high revs.
  4. here a pic of the engine setup http://www.schimmelperformance.com/imag ... CN9893.JPG has 640 rwhp
  5. yes but we are talking here for a standart corrado vr6 not one striped naked, with a good turbo system and some good traction it wont be a problem wasting most cars on the road, there are vr turbos runing 9 sec 1/4 mile
  6. how about puting a turbo in the VR, with about 10k you can beat an m3 cls, imagine the looks on the m3 owner  , iv never seen a cls but they do go fast and most important handle well.

    boost

Thats why you should have an isv reroute, at 15 psi i believe the iddle stabilising valve bleeds boost off, so for high psi an isv reroute kit is a must, that way you will worry less about the faulty isv valve as if any air is lost at any time its just dumped into the intake tube. rgds
  8. lol  you have some rage there, persoanlly i hate when cars block the fast lane and do 50-60 and as soon as you go in the middle lane to overtake them they pas in the midd lane blocking you again

    boost

boost at about 4k rpm will be about the same as at 5k rpm as after that you wont get any more boost due to belt slip, no matter how tight the tensioner is set up it will always slip in higher revs, only solution is a toothed belt system. Also the stock intercooler and stock piping is not very freeflowing so you will loose some boost there due to resistance before it goes in the engine. Some intercoolers are known to flow pretty well even at high psi. But i should say a 15 psi figure should be abuot right for a ported charger on 68mm pulley rgds migs

    boost

not sure but on a fully ported flown charger with rsr outlet, front mount IC and 68mm pulley no cam or head porting i get 16-17 psi cant remember that in bar.
  11. bought some stuff from bettyswollox, very helpfull and correct, would buy from him anyday. rgds
  12. well is simple for me, when the boost gauge hits 16-17 psi all hell breaks loose and i get a big :D out of that
  13. i think that would be ok, you can easily get injectors from normal 8v engines but dont know how they would work with the digifant.
  14. when the compression is low you dont get much power as when the compreson is high in a normally aspired engine, 260 is the flow rate of injectors , they spray to much fuel for a n/a 8v to combust properly rgds

    Carbon Fibre Bonnet

so what will you get more performance of doing the cam and chip or fittign a magic cf bonnet, lets be real here pls.... you can always buy yourself a g60
  16. is not good for your engine to run it without boost in long run, you will run really rich and will wash your piston rings off oil resulting to damaged rings and bores,g60 injectors are *260 pretty big for a low compression n/a 8v i have tried mine without a charger for a short while and its a dog, i wouldnt do it if i was you.

    20v turbo

i think thats overpriced too. would be fair for a tt225 though!
  18. hope everyone has AA europe cover  . would be gr8 going to europe like germany or so. If i havent sold my car by then id be up for it. 8)
  19. now your a made man one of us 8) :2gunfire: :2gunfire:

    Carbon Fibre Bonnet

I dont understand why you would pay 600 pounds for a cf bonnet for reducing about 6-7 kg in weight. The real weight cuts would be replacing the bumpers with plastic or fibreglass ones, have you felt how heavy the front and rear bumpers are?? You will be saving about 20-30 kg right there, remove spare wheel and tools and you got another 15kg off, plus there are loads of other lil things which contribute to the weght before you have to result into a cf bonnet. I think it would be better if you spend that money on the engine rather than weight  .
  21. i got 17", i think it looks perfect on the c it really fills the arches unlike 15 or 16 do, unless you like the fat dounght tires like alex has now on  look so cheap  8)
  22. :D :viking: :viking: :onfire: :afro: lol i know i cant say a thing about it, i really like my legs

    20v turbo

well you can always get forged rods and some nice forged pistons.400whp is way to much for a daily driven front wheel drive car but i would love it, why have 300 when you can have 400!
