  1. From my trip to Rockingham on Tuesday... The full listing at the usual place AutoPoster.co.uk Have to include this one as well... Passenger ride in Audi R8 - with BTTC ace Tim Harvey at the wheel... I had wobbly legs when I got out...
  2. Sorry guys, I'm bringing you all down :(
  3. [flameproof suit donned]So... what shall we call it? Mk3, Mk 3.5, Mk4...?[/flameproof suit donning]
  4. Probably was my old Campaign, as I'd heard it went abroad - looks in nice nick still then :)
  5. I'm not too certain about this getting rid of your old car for something more economical... My 24 year old Scirocco does about 45 mpg, whereas the 6 year old Passat DIESEL only does about 40mpg - which is cheaper to run hey? I seem to remember the average fuel consumption in the 1970/80s was about 40mpg - 90s this dropped to about 30mpg, and today it's probably about 28 for petrol cars... Oh, and in answer to the original questions - most definitely yes!
  6. Now announced by folks at Milton Keynes... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/04/19/nosplit/mfvw119.xml The Passat CC Might have to wait for the R36 version :) (Although it's already there in all but name - for about £31k)
  7. I think I've still got Super Aguri as one of my teams - so not much hope of success there
  8. Same thing in Tennis ;) or Badminton serving... or table tennis ... or drinking (when you spill the pint 'coz you're trying too hard...)
  9. All done freehand - you have to "follow" the car before and after taking the pic, so imagine the "follow-through" when playing golf or something...
  10. Got some choice pics this year as the weather was "variable"... Lots of interesting motors - Full listing here... www.autoposter.co.uk Sample pics here... S1 Quattro RS200 Lancia 037 Evolouzione Escort Mk1 in "comtemporary" style... A couple of the GT40 Evolution Lotus Sunbeam driven by Russel Brooks
  11. Not quiet certain how we average 136 points though... ?
  12. I think it counts tomorrow morning's practice as well though...
  13. I think he's in a JPS liveried Lotus  Like this one ... ;) Couldn't get Freddie in my team either... Team Sciroccorrado entered though :)
  14. Well, I personally would like one myself :)
  15. Funnily enough, I did have an AA check-over before buying it (cost me a lot more than £36, I can tell you) and they said it was a pretty good repair job. Over time though, I discovered little inconsistencies, some of which I fixed, some I didn't bother with as they were very slight ones.
  16. Probably worth more than the rest of the car...
  17. Welcome to the C Forum ;)
  18. Wasn't the same car buddy, I owned it from 2002 to 2007 :)
  19. I'd have to say though, with myself it was a case of buying from the heart, and not with the head. It's quite a good investment (although not necessarily at that price). In the five years I owned it, I lost about £1200 on it... that's not too bad in anybody's book really is it? The damage was very well repaired really, it's not a cut n shut car at all. I really enjoyed my 5 years with the car, but financial constraints meant I couldn't keep it.
  20. First thing I'd say is - has been told it was written off? I don't want to put him off with this, just be aware of it, as it's a nasty thing to find out about after the event. Apart from that, after it left my ownership it needed about a grands worth of work to get it into really good condition, mostly perisheable components wearing out that sort of thing. Check the gearchange has been fixed, as this was a pain in the ass. Any more questions, by all means ask away, and I'll answer to the best of my (limited) technical knowledge.
  21. 3corsa... Did anything ever happen about this car? I might be interested in it if it's available?
  22. ...and was a Cat D (or C, can't remember)... (£7k is steep, but then TCS is a dealer)
