Nice stock looking G60 that hasn't been destroyed by modders. I bought one recently so I'm not a buyer but good luck with the sale :thumbleft:

I read about the National Day a couple of weeks ago and fancied going. When I realised the discounted ticket offer was closed I decided against it. I've lost a months work and had to spend a small fortune on parts this week sadly. I need to draw the line somewhere so settled on just going to Stanford as it's only 40 mins away. It feels like I'm going to miss out as Donnington looks like an awesome event with paddock parking and possibly a chance to do a few laps of the track. Will probably take a drive over to Stratford Motor fest on the Monday as well, seen as it's even closer.

https://www.vwspares.co.uk/index.php Had a decent service from these guys last week. I like their website as well, really easy to navigate with sub sections for each vehicle type. Not Sure about the Topran brand but Febi is decent I believe.

Thanks! There is plenty to choose from. I am anti buying anything from China, but can they really f@$k up a rubber mount?

There was a big presence of Corrados at last years show, but I don't see any mention of it this year. Is anyone attending this next week?

Poly bushes are easily available at around £10 each. C&R no longer list the ones with chains. I will probably just have to suck it up and pay the 6 quid. They will have to go on next months shopping list. Thanks for the link

I was trying to think of an alternative, but I decided on finding a corrupted exhaust fitter who will magic me some up in exchange for a £20 beer token :)

Found an AVA at £93 so that's not to bad. AVA are supposed to be a decent brand (I hope). I've ordered click and collect from the argos around the corner from me. If something else turns up in it's place I will just send it straight back at them. They state AVA on their item description so Ebay will have to refund if I complain. Let's hope for the best. Might even buy the other one in preparation for the next project looming. *Edit* As expected, the Ebay seller messaged me stating the rad they received was damaged!

Has anyone heard of or used the radiator manufacturer AVA please?

The package arrived this morning, ordered Monday evening. Not much to comment on other than it feels pretty chunky compared to the hose on my car. Haven't offered it up yet though to compare. Will go and have a look in a bit. I bought 2 meters @ £3.50 p/m and 8 clips total package was £15.25 1 meter will cost you £3.99 worm clips 34p each postage £2.95 prices are excluding VAT *Edit* I thought the hose on the car looked thinner but I just checked now and there is no difference at all. There is a small piece of hose slotted over the main hose for wear protection, hopefully that will slide off and go the new piece.

Yes, I think you're right. Thanks anyway.

Has anyone got a link for a good supplier of Exhaust Rubber Mounts at a realistic price please? Searching around last night I was finding prices of approx £6 a piece. It's been a while since I bought any but I didn't think things had got that expensive. I need several and am feeling rather tight after having to spend hundreds of pounds on other parts. Thanks.

I was a little bit worried about the worm clips but that's what they listed to accompany the hose. Currently have a worm clip on the fuel rail end, but the bulk head joint is an ear clamp. I will have to use the worm clips for now and get a garage to fit some ear clamps later on. Having said that using and ear clamp on the rail side would make removing the pipe hard work for maintenance. Thanks for the advice!

Found the exact size after a bit of digging around. linked if anyone should need some. http://www.advancedfluidsolutions.co.uk/76mm-id-516-saej30r9-nitrile-rubber-fuel-injection-hose-sae-r9-628-p.asp Thanks chaps.

I have had the same Henry for 18 years. It works perfect after all this time. I broke one of his wheels off some years ago, recently spotted one in a skip, so I nabbed the wheels and it put the smile back on his face.

Did you get any joy finding a new rad, G60raj?
-
The "Mad Max" in me, kind of likes it :D

Glad to see another G60 back on the road. :g60:

Did you check the Clutch Fork, Langsam? They can bend over time which can cause that issue. It's possible if the rest of the system has been renewed.
-
Brilliant thanks! I presume VW will no longer do them and don't really want to pay their prices so want to source some online. I may have a had a lucky escape. The fuel flowed out when I moved the pipe a little bit. It's a bit of a cruddy set up considering the manifolds are a few inches below. luckily my car was cold when I noticed it.

I shall ask the misses for an evaluation of her vacuum when she returns home....

There is a shot piece of rubber Fuel Hose running from the bulkhead (where it joins the main fuel line) to the inlet of the Fuel Rail on the G60 Digifant System. Can anyone tell me the diameter of fuel hose needed to fit to the Fuel Rail please? Cheers
