As much as id like to do thees mods, i agree with a20 lee, definitely better to get some split rims to fill the arch. Then maybe get the skirts

Im still looking for a set of bbs rs in 4x100 and 17s  only 2 ever made

  2. mr mat, no thats exactoly what i mean, i have an amp, 6 by 9s and a radio atatched, i have a votlmeter and it reads 13.5, then with my lights on full it reads 12.5, with my radio it reads 11 ish and cuts out........not always but most of the time. thats what i meant by 90 amps being reqd, as the 70 amps built in the cotrrado assumes that it is std, but once you start drawing out moerw power from the battery, the alternatior should be changed for a 90amp one.

  3. ive been advised to change my fuse box as well due to some serious bodge wiring previous to my purchase

however, last night, when once again my car cut out, the aa told me it wasnt my fuse box, its my alternator that isnt giving enough voltage to my car, as its only 70a, and with aftermaket parts such as an amplifier, new radio e tc you need the alternator to be atleast 90-a.........to give out the right power

  4. as mentioend in my posts beofre, although a guy is coming to pick em up on the weekend, bbs rs001 with 8.5 dish, in 16s 4x100 fitment all with brand new toyos and mirror polished for 1500 buc ,

  5. Hi Guys,

P.S. I have developed, when the car got very hot stuck in the worlds biggest traffic jam recently, an annoying squeeling/squeeking noise coming from the engine...it sounds like a bearing....any ideas??? Could it be one of the pulleys for the belts? Is it fixeable with a good dose of wd40???

another problem i have as well. i reckon its the water pump mate.

  6. QUOTE : Anyway the two main ones that are concerning me at the moment are...a flat spot, particularly noticeable in first and second gears.

I used to get this too, then i took my car to the garage and its fixed...well at least that problem is, although i used to own a gti, and i dont know whether its down to the weight of the corrado, but its no way near as shifty in 1st gear......the gti 's jump forwards, mines sluggish and used to have the problem u mentioned above.....i just got used to slowly building up the revs in 1st, and once at 20 boost it.

now my next problem is a melted fuse box, where the 2nd prob u mentioned used to happen....car wouldnt turn over. i thought maybe the battery, or the fuel pump, but turned out the fuse for fule pump/lamda probe melted. new fuse box on its way along with ignition switch, and next problem is radiator fan doesnt work.need new switch...

From all the money i spent i can say this one thing, once you put after market items into the car....in my case immobolisor, and fuk with the existing wiring you cause yourself a world of problems. No matter how good the mechanic, they aint factory precision.

  7. cheers mate

ive looked into mine again, as the fuel pump ceased to work last night............defintely due to after market alarm, the tw@ts run it in seriies with the live, by cutting everything in half, and its all buggerd. Gna have to rewire it all.Hope its a nice weekend or im fd.

  8. Today I saw a black J reg corrado in kingston, opposite the reevethorpe renault dealer near kingston uni (if anyone knows that  ) about 3:35 pm. I cudn't get a look at the spec cos i was on the bus :( .

if it had ms lights flushed back and double exits, thats a guy on this forum called amit d 60

  9. u need to buy the whole system to get it right..

messed about with it, now i get air out of the windscreen and the bottom, and slightly out of the front. it was pretty easy to do, you need to go under the passenger side and open it up from there......but its still fd

  10. i had a very similar problem --> my car wouldnt idel sometimes, it woudlnt start sometimes, and when i floored it it would do the same, pause and then slowly pick up

    I got a service...its fine now.

although my fuse box needs replacing....which was why my car would cut out sometimes(fuel pump fuse was melted into fuse box)

  11. Even if the initial crash was survivable, the 6x9 speakers flying out from the rear parcel shelf would've decapitated the burberry clad fecker!

    8)
