When will that be double-6s, what sort of price do you think it will fetch?

Can someone enlighten me, not too hot on the turbo VW engines. Is the 20vt a different engine to the much mentioned 1.8t. If so, are they both 1.8, 4 pots.
-
Handling is in a totally different league to the Corrado. Power won't be a world apart but the Scooby will feel quicker, 4wd for rapid launches and a turbo for holding you back in the seat. I think they are awesome cars but not 'special' in the way a Corrado is.

Storms were £22.5k roughly. I think standard VR6s were £21k ish. Don't know about the other models though. Massive price for the mid nineties imo. No wonder they didn't sell many!

I take the 20 mins you mention is for changing the panel only, ie Metal to Glass, there is no way on gods earth you could change a mechanism in 20 mins. :-)
-
It will definately improve as the pads bed in, but whether that's your whole problem I wouldn't like to say.

GSF rear wheel bearings are rubbish, I've gone through 2 sets in 20,000 miles. In the process of replacing them with VAG ones, twice the price but quality stuff.

I don't think they expected a girl to be driving a C-G60.and you wonder why you got let off... :-)
An ex-girlfriend of mine got let off for doing over 90 on a motorway by smiling sweetly and fluttering her eye-lashes. Coincidence maybe! ;-)

Rip-Off Britain we call it!

I had major issues with my Autoglass replacement windscreen (search if interested). They bodged and damaged several internal panels, used superglue to hold down rubber seals that were badly fitted, snapped the scuttle panel etc etc. Monkeys. Even the second one they fitted after I complained is not a perfect job.

You need a press ideally, I wouldn't personally attempt it without one. I took mine to a VW specialist (not main dealer), he charged £50 to press the new bushes in.
-
Yep you definately need to bleed the master cylinder if you've lost a lot of fluid. I had exactly the same issues as you. Bleeding the MC sorted it right out.

Cheers Toad. I'll have a look. Funnily enough I had to use mine in heavy rain yesterday and they seemed more or less ok. I've got the offset one on the drivers side and its just about staying clear of the trim at both ends of its travel. I think the passenger one needs tweaking though. I think perhaps me trying them on a wet screen at full wipe speed whilst not moving is a bit different to using them on the road. Time will tell.
-
Also. Can someone confirm which side the offset blade should go. -
I bought some Aero Wipers in the recent group buy and I can't get them to fit properly. I simply unbolted the old ones, put the new ones on in a similar position. This was ok until I tried them on a wet screen, then they over-shoot the lower windscreen trim by miles. So I then repositioned them a bit higher to compensate. The drivers one now hits the A pillar trim. Repositioned again, now the drivers one clips the passenger arm. I'm not a complete spoon mechanically but something is wrong here. If I have the wipers on high speed with a wet screen the arm hits both trims.
Any ideas?
Also. Can someone confirm which side the offset blade should go.

Good call Cazza, had exactly the same problem about 3 years ago, cleaned the ISV and problem solved.Yep, likewise. Distinct whiff of ISV/pipework problems.

My girlfriend has had a go in mine and loved it, not sure the alloys would last long though if it came to actually parking the thing. Mirrors and visibility are appalling imo.
-
You could maybe move it to somewhere not icy and change it. It might be repairable too.
-
Speedos read anything up to 10% out which could be 16mph at that speed, your wheels will be affecting it by a further percentage too. Realistically you're looking at 130 something, possibly.
-
I'll try that, cheers!

It comes off without breaking but its an absolute b*gger to get back on again. I've been trying for hours on mine and its still only half back on, hence why I'm using the original metal panel at the moment.
-
My colleague wrecked two tyres and two alloys in one pot hole last week. The pothole was massive. It was a Rover though...... :)
-
Sounds like brakes rather than bearings to me. Bearings tend to drone. Brakes squeal!
-
Mine was adjusted to spot on with that same combination.
Let's se who can figure this out.
