  1. Not really a big fan of chasing people constantly for months on end I'm afraid, when either a refund or the goods purchased arrives, I'll drop the 'threatening' manner I promise! You have nothing to worry about if you post the tracking numbers up! You will be in the clear for everyone to see! (This time) Then I can go and threaten Royal Mail.....Happy Days! :-)
  2. It is how we paid. Lets see those tracking numbers!
  3. Am I right in assuming the post office have lost it again, at exactly the same time as your car stopped working and you were unable to get home and you weren't able to post the numbers up that you said you would three days ago? Perhaps I'll give it a few more days, then again I could have walked from Peterborough to Portsmouth quicker. I really hope its Royal Mail that are dragging their feet this time..............it better be.
  4. I agree, pants compared to their usual standard. The BMW M3 bit annoyed me, why can't they drive a car someone can afford on a normal road in a relatively normal manner. I'm really bored of Clarkson wrecking a set of tyres in 10 mins and using that as an evaluation of a car.
  5. How has repositioning the timing chain affected the excessive pressure in the cooling system? Does it still do that. Did they do the compression test hot or cold?
  6. I wonder if Dude_VR6 has his........................................
  7. Yes, I've had mine done, had it done 3 or 4 times over the life of the car. Its drives fine, its just ride quality that gets my goat! I was hoping for a nice tight ride, but that would definately be putting it optimistically.
  8. I'd definately check she's getting hot enough, I've had horrendous consumption before from cars that are running cold or a duff temp sensor that tells the ecu the engine is cold. It would be running permanently rich if thats the case. (sooty Lambda)
  9. Your not alone! I've just done the same, with 2 new front wheel bearings as well. It still rides like a skateboard with square wheels. Grrr. What springs and shocks have you got there?
  10. Toolstation and places like machine mart do them for £12 upwards. I think the machine mart one is probably Clarks so should be fine.
  11. This is indeed true, hadn't really considered that. I thought it was rather a strange thing to do (fit just a gb mount), most people go for just the front one. Mind you, the previous owner had removed the MAF too, and neatly cut off the plug and tucked the loom away.......
  12. Not quite what you were asking I know, but my other halfs came with only a VT gearbox mount, it was horrible. So much noise in the cabin. When I removed it, it was knackered too, only a year old according to the receipt. I run the front one and think its a really good upgrade, not too much more in the way of vibes, feels much taughter, on and off the power.
  13. I had a chav overtake me in an underpowered fiesta some time ago, we were in a 40mph limit. I saw them overtake the car behind me and thought that was silly. I then watched with horror as they went past me on the wrong side of the road on a double apex right hand bend. There was no suitable gap in front of me, I dropped back slightly to let them in but no, they went round the car in front of me as well. I should add it was a single carraigeway (one lane in each direction) but very tight and twisty. I'd estimate their speed in excess of 70mph. They were completely blind for 95% of their manouvre, asking for a head on crash. As it was the road leaving my village and I know most of the people who live there, there was a high chance someone I knew well would have had a head on collision with a closing speed in excess of 100mph. I was fuming for days and physically shaking for the rest of the evening. I wish I could have caught them at the next set of lights, I'd have made sure they weren't able to drive for a while. Scary stuff, true death wish.
  14. Thanks for the update. I will keep all further communication in this thread for total transparency. _Meth, I have appealed to you previously about this, on a personal level. I'm not out to slate anyone as "Serious Internet Fraudster", these are £15 clendars after all. Its the principle, I just don't understand why you have told me so many times that you're sorry, I'll do it tomorrow, then nothing. Anyway, as I've said before, I'm not worried about a refund. I'd just like a calendar and no more fannying around please. My other halfs car is the June pic, it would be nice to have it by then ;-) Andy Cheers Mods for your assistance.
  15. Any assistance you can give would be much appreciated. He keeps saying that he is having personal problems, is really sorry etc, I'll post them tomorrow etc, then disappears off the forum for a fortnight. He's already said, 6 weeks after he supposedly originally posted them, "sorry I found a pile of calendars under some rubble, I'll post them, tomorrow" etc. That was two promises ago! Its just so frustrating to be repeatedly told, its sorted, then the anticipation of waiting, his repetetive lying and then disappearing act. This is two months now. I really don't care if I get a calendar or a refund now but this is not just going to go away. He has done this on other forums too. I will be posting the details of that up here soon if something doesn't materialise.
  16. Andy are we going on a road trip, loaded up with a tin of woop arse ? Forum Outing?
  17. I can honestly say I have never been so f*cked about by someone in my life. I have never been fed so much b*llsh*t. Do the mods have an email address for the seller please. I feel a trip to Peterborough coming on shortly.
  18. I'll try that, I have got the original foam in there. Its just not enough. I assumed that the hole in the plastic bit had become elongated, therefore loose. My door has been very stiff to open until recently when I had it all apart to clean / grease everything. Its lush now!
  19. Does anyone know if the interior door release levers are available new, my latest rattle comes from one of those. The rod that actuates the door lock is a loose fit within the plastic release mechanism, meaning the release lever has 5 to 10 mm flapping potential.
  20. A really effective tweak is to undo the rubber bumpstop things on the tailgate a bit, they stop the tailgate rattling (and everything within it). Night and day difference if you have rattles coming from the rear...... I suppose we do forget these cars are 15 to 20 years old sometimes.
  21. I think the build quality of everything outside the cabin is very good. The plastics within the interior are simply awful though, I've never heard another car creak, groan and rattle like a corrado. Its a full time job keeping up with fixing the rattles.
  22. Here is the message, sent on the 6th, its now the 18th. Hi mate, I cant get onto my old account since the forum move so had to create this one instead. If you can give me your address again, I will send another out to you. I have 3/4 spares left from when I re-ordered. I have no idea what so ever why yours and VR6 guys have been missed - Im sure I had yours and his set to one side from the start... I realy am truely sorry, can only blame my organisation. So if you could pm this accuont with your addy again, ill get one sent out tomorrow for you recorded. Cheers I wouldn't mind but this is about the 4th one I've received to this effect.
  23. Not common at all. The good thing is that bottom ends are quite cheap, I've seen them go for £50 on here. Bigpantsbaby has advertised some not that long ago.
  24. I received another message last week, stating they would definately be posted, recorded delivery, on Saturday. The seller username used by the seller was _Meth, I think if you look there are at least 3 accounts used by him. Dude_VR6 and I are still waiting, 2 months after paying. I have had at least 4 or 5 direct statements saying that they have been posted this time. As we speak, we are still £15 down, no calendar to show for it. Not happy.
