  1. Cheers for that, mine's coming up for 150k too, about time I had a look!
  2. Took my door apart, cleaned and greased handles, locks, window runner ,fitted new window rollers too. The door handles have never felt this good in 6 years of ownership! I assumed they were sh4gged! Well worth it!
  3. Corrado16v18 has visited the forum today at midday, where is the response to our questions? I think I will need to escalate this soon.
  4. Is that a bengal? Lovely puss that. Yes indeed she is, truly amazing, stunning cat. She got in the glovebox when I was taking the dashboard out. She likes to run off with screws/bolts and hide screwdrivers etc!
  5. You think you've got problems, every time I open mine the cat comes in. At least she has good taste I suppose!
  6. I'd jut buy a super-soaker or similar, most cats won't linger with a water jet in their face! Cheap and fun! Oh and humane...
  7. So they were posted on the 18th, its now the 28th. The post office haven't lost all the same items again have they? What are the chances, I might buy a lottery ticket!
  8. Out of interest, is there an expected arrival date, have they been posted yet?
  9. Other halfs Blackberry VR was registered 25/03/1996. Meaningless though really, still manufactured in 1995.
  10. After having spent over a grand on mine in the last six months on a full suspension and brake refurb/upgrade, pulled the dash out and did the heater matrix, de-rattled everything, removed alarm etc. Thought all was good, then headlight bulbs blowing every 5 mins so just replaced the alternator (problematic, but another story). Then oil temp sensor failed, ignition switch failed, its just started holding back on power.....I can feel the door handle getting worse everytime I open it... On top of that my other halfs corrado needed a new wiper motor and ignition switch in the last 10 days, its never ending! Mega money, mega time spent fixing things, but when they're good, they're really good!
  11. I know quite a few people who go for 3 days every year and still claim not to see everything! I normally go for a day, a very long day admittedly and can see everything I want to. I would quite happily go for the whole three days but it so expensive. Not sure about where to stay as I only Iive 20 mins away, Poole is a fair stretch as you say. Easy an hour and a half each way.
  12. Its an awful picture, but you get the idea. The Carbon effect one has a stuck main button, I think it still works but it doesn't click. The wood effect one is perfect and has hardly been used. Any good?
  13. I've found my spare fobs, don't know if you've bought the other one yet?
  14. All this has brought back memories, my old girl, best car I've owned.
  15. Its not the steering lock is it, waggle the steering (take the weight off the steering) and try again.
  16. I always use a punch and hammer to drive the old ones out, there's a little lip inside the disc you can get the punch onto. Suitable sized socket and hammer to drive the new ones in. Remember not to overtighten them. You do them hand tight, a bit more to settle them, then back of the nut until you can move the washer with a screwdriver. There's loads more info on here. Readjust in a few hundred miles.
  17. I was thinking more, stiffer springs, polybushed or something. Mine was stock, I had the rear beam rebuilt admittedly but it was brilliant, light and nimble, never harsh.
  18. It must have been a modified one Dr. I had a non assisited 1.9 for 6 years and it rode like a dream. The suspension was amazing, it used to float over road imperfections and had the feel of a much bigger car. I used to drive 60 miles of back roads a day and it was brilliant, I never even considered ride quality untill I swapped to a VW. Hell yes they were noisy though, like a tin can! I gave a colleague a lift home once, he hated it..said to me "do you really put up with this everyday?" I always found them practical for carrying things, I regularly had 2 mountain bikes and camping gear in the back, or more famously a cement mixer and a wheelbarrow!
  19. I hadn't noticed this from Page 9, I am Andy on that list. I assume you still have spare (allocated to those who have paid) calendars and that they haven't all been sold on ebay. I will PM you my address, why on earth it wasn't visible from Paypal is a mystery to me. I would have been grateful for a PM from you about this. Obviously I know you haven't sent it, you haven't got my address. I very much look forward to hearing from you about this. You have PM.

  22. How many people are still waiting, lets start a list. 1 Andy 2 Wendy 3 Kev_VR6 *2 4 VWVW?? 5 eddy.h??? 6 Dude_VR6??? anymore?
  23. Agreed Wendy, I reckon there's more than a few though. I assume Corrado16v18 would have sent out the spares to those that were deficient if it was that simple. How many people are still waiting, lets start a list. 1 Andy 2 Wendy 3 Kev_VR6 *2 4
