Becuase of the design, these senders under-read with age... I would each replace the guage one and I suspect you may also find the rad-fan thermoswitch is not working properly either... (should hit 100 at most in traffic and usually sit dead on 90)

Hello, One hose goes to the Evaporator and one to the condenser (rad) - I think you are missing the latter which is £200 from VW... I would take it to an A/C specialist and see what they think is needed - they will probably be able to get the pipe made up much cheaper...

The Febi ones look the same tbh (but most stuff does) but I would order genuine for the sake of a few pence more... They usually fail after being twisted when the clip moves round... Matt - the only git is I don't think they fit over the end so you need to undo the end from the rod, you can mark the nut or count threads to keep the tracking in check but then of course the other problem is you split the boot on the TRE with the ball joint splitter when taking it off... arse!

Good work, is the stereo easy to locate down there?? ie does it fit easily without too much 'bodging'? - do you still us the cage?? What are you using to re-wrap the wiring?? I'm using the VW cloth tape but altho the original stuff is falling apart like powder, the new stuff doesn't look as heavy duty so i'm not sure how long it will last....

Errr yeah - DON'T drive it.... Buy a genuine tensioner and a new nut and stud. Check the belt out - if it's gone shiney then it's been wearing against the resistance of the tensioner - you'll need to do the belt too... I reckon you've been very lucky to spot that - another few miles and you'd need a new engine!

You may have also pulled a plug out of the fusebox while doing the matrix?

The rubberseals are less than a £10er from VAG but the slider may be more difficult to locate as there come with the carriers IIRC... maybe try a brake specialist...

vwsam20, if you change to 195/50/15's you may find your ride quality improves no end!

The comfort pack is basically the conversion to the standard VR6 (Mk3) style top mounts..

Parts are £250 absolute minimum - by the time you've added a few bits you may also want to change you'll hit £500 Labour is 10 hours (again minimum) and Stealth do the chains and clutch for £650 + vat IIRC

My G60 reads 135 across the board if thats any help.... Number 2 doesn't look good but did you re-check them all???

Yeah - it was a dealer fit option only tho on UK Corrado's but you see a few, mainly VR's

Hmmm - the new switch should at least crank the engine over (I take it this was ok before and it just didn't fire?) As above check you are turning the new switch all the way (should get dash lights on pos 2 and position 3 sends 12v's down the red/black line to the starter solenoid) Relay click is a good sign but you could just now have a dead battery as above... Hall Sender - I'm fairly sure this should spark when you turn the rotor arm with just the ignition in stage 2 - not sure how the AA guy tested this was ok but got no spark??
