Cheapest place for Redline MTL gear oil?
Supercharged replied to MK1Campaign's topic in Suppliers Forum
Yeah DT is cheapest even after postage... I made the mistake of buying from the 'UK importer' and even with there free postage it would have ben cheaper from Demons... Also if it's for the Corrado you want MT90 (MTL is for 020 boxes) -
Don't use them at all - fecking awful tyres!!

Noisy belt/pullies on 92 G60 (Still having problems)
Supercharged replied to claire.major's topic in Engine Bay
Claire - if your still having probs get down to Machine mart and buy some Irwin Bolt Grippers - best tool I have ever purchased and not expensive either! -
Try pushing the bung itself thru - it is posible altho I would take the battery out for easier access...
-
Isn't the stuff on eBay cheaper tho?
-
You see alot of these in supermarkets at the moment - they charge the insurance about £40 a chip... If it's not gone all the way thru, less than 5p in size and clean (ie a new chip) they can usually make it invisible
-
Just read the first post again - you may want to take it up to Stealth for a look as it was such a short time ago...
-
Hmmm - not good but yes it could be the heat exchanger - especially if it seems to be leaking externally...
-
Yes 2 hoses go to the front calipers, 2 to the rear calipers and 2 go from the compensator valve around the axle
-
Yep, you need the 95 on kit It has 6 seperate flexi lines (2 fronts, 2 rears and 2 for the axle)
-
Change both gauge sensors (oil and water) What coolant mix are you running? Is the expansion tank cap ok and blue in colour? Is the thermstat working - ie did you test / change when you changed the pump? At full temp are both the top and bottom rad hoses hot (too hot to touch)??
-
What oil is being used?
-
Yeah the 8's aren't that quick - it's the XKR (supercharged) you want to look out for...
-
Tornado Red you mean  They're still crap David - they could be so much better and they aren't - newer ones are even worse.... been reading some interesting stuff in the VAG self study manuals recently - not sure if you have access to these thru your father?
-
No you need the Golf kit becuase it's banjo... Yep, ferodo - GSF don't but I think C&R etc may sell them...
-
No the PG IS 45Nm... Your later tensioner is the same as fitted to the ABF and the VAG manual says 25Nm Also after speaking to an Audi Tech - M10 is 45Nm and M8 up to 25Nm and the stud and nut should be replaced every other change so if unsure, change it! Bl00dy haynes manuals!!!
-
GSF do the whole 6 line kit for the late MK3 VR6 for £40 - you may as well get that Pads - DS2500's
-
supersprint-uk, thanks for posting - can you confirm what is still available as the info from italy is that Supersprint have discontinued some of the Corrado exhausts>?
-
g60bv, we'd all like a CNC head but I disagree with that for a NA 8v - it's twice the price and I doubt you'll notice any extra gains...
-
You want te metal version - part number is T10029 from VW / Audi
-
Hi - both are Corrado specific...
-
Man in the Shed is probably the best way to go considering cost over performance gains... see the group buy section on ClubGTI

You what?
