Yep, Corrado uses the MK2 Golf (mk3 for VR6) rear beam and bushes and seems to wear suspension parts and bushes faster that it's Golf equivilent.

The original one is shouldered - the washer on the new one should have them the same effective thread length so yes

Some 4 studs went on eBay the other day

Taking out headling (stuck with the b pilar coat hanger bit)
Supercharged replied to chaz g60's topic in Interior
They are an arse! - you need to prise the plastic hanger out and up to reveal a screw underneath -
Thats mine!!! (not really)

Unusual thing to break - did it get jammed in the top mount?
-
Thats's all you need Yan apart from new carrier bolts and pads if needed. If they're second hand I wouldn't bother unless they look almost brand new.
-
Usually the pump is under the sender unit and the pipes go down to it.... Ring them and try and cancel it!!
-
Yeah - you use existing mk3 type carriers and handbrake cables...
-
Jeez - that first link could have been a lot worse!! I'd go mk4 Jim - keep an eye on eBay for cheap new calipers - I just bought another for £20 inc postage VW parts are 2 year warranty

Ok, go to Halfords / GSF / VW and grab a fuel filter - I'd do that regardless... I'd then get onto checking the relay - not sure if there is a way of checking it in the haynes?
-
Some mk3's have a glow plug control unit but i think yours is relay driven... I take it you've checked the battery etc? how old is the fuel filter? - the have a water filter thing at the bottom your meant to drain off from time to time...

Light Switch---Is there an alternative?????
Supercharged replied to stevie_f_2004's topic in Interior
Early one will fit too which is only £18 -
Depends on model but it's a big job... requires some special tools as well so unless you have a very good specialist nearby, you'll find it's cheaper to go to the dealer... They usuallly have set prices but I think TDI's start at £250 - £450 inc parts. On my AJM engine they say you should replace cambelt, tensioner, relay roller, waterpump and all associated bolts. Parts on there own come to over £100

16" Speedlines would be the obvious choice... -

New Uprated 80% brighter H4 Bulbs (Standard Wattage)
Supercharged replied to Yandards's topic in Exterior
Hmmm - I've just fitted the brilliance bulbs and they are noticably better than the 2 year old Osram Silverstar's that were in before - I have got new lenses tho and a 4 relay loom... -
oh yeah - what happened to that at the RR day?
-
Jesus - you did alright there then! Halfords do a kit with jack, stands and creeper for £39.99
-
What tools did you get dude? I just ordered a couple of bits from metalnerd.com - a magnetic sump plug and a wheel locator tool - $23.75 inc postage translates to £12.10 - lol!
-
Could be a bearing but i'd see how it goes Jimbo... If it comes back then buy new belts (cheap as chips on a 16) and check the pulley's when they're off...

Pads and Part Numbers for Audi S2 / Girling 60 Calipers
Supercharged replied to Supercharged's topic in Suppliers Forum
Well, I've tried the pads in the carrier but there is a strange metal clip on one pad that doesn't want to fit in place so I reckon they are wrong - forgot to mention they also have the wear sensors attached to the other pad - do the S2's all come with these?
