  1. Pics?? If your sticking with that pump then you could just buy a new 7ltr screenwash bottle that has the outlet / holder for it... I think model/hobby shops are best for methanol if you have one nearby...
  2. It also takes the strain of the heater matrix!! If it wasn't critical VW wouldn't have put it there...
  3. Hehe - hover your mouse over the red lettering above... ECP is another one to try...
  4. Flexi hose? - GSF or VW should keep them in stock - £10
  5. Should be 33 on 4 cyls but 31 is fine
  6. Right - just put the latest price list up... As for getting these prices it's a bit hit and miss but the dealers around suffolk are fairly good and I get discounts without asking but I do buy a hell of a lot of stuff and also get bits for friends etc as well so i'm in there fairly reguarly... the list gives an idea of the discounts that are available anyways!
  7. If it's really loose then you may be able too... Need a 13mm socket really tho - you may be able to do it using the end of the plastic screwdriver in the jack tool kit - thats 13 i think!
  8. I'd try another dealer and try and get a better discount - should be able to got for £100 + vat (just noticed early headlights are now £57 each and lenses less than a tenner!)
  9. Mocal Oil cooler is the next thing that should be on your list really - the RSR oulet will allow enought room for you to fit the mocal sandwich plate and get shot of the factory heat exchanger using 2 water pipes from a mk1
  10. Hiya - FPR is located on the end of the plastic injector rail on the left hand side of the engine bay - the rail is behind the head and infront of the inlet manifold. When you get the new part you'll locate it easily enough!
  11. Christoph, yep! - they certainly don't get hot anymore...
  12. If its a fixed column then it's in a slightly different place... And yeah, bin the yellow switch and get the new polo 6N part from VW - will last another 15 years rather than 6 months!
  13. Yeah ATP shows the cross-references but there is a use for 'Enter Part number' - if you have something which is a correct number but comes up as Part Number Unknown under ATP - stick it in there and it will show what it supercedes to...
  14. LOL - good to see a few of you managed to get one, it's worth ringing the stores really as alot of them are not putting in the sale section apparently as they will get nicked... I think most of them have beed had by staff tho etc but as above there are a few still kicking around! Worth also taking a trip to any older stores (more stock to clear) - I picked up another Megs Clay Bar kit for a fiver yesterday.
  15. No worries - yeah they break in strange ways sometimes!!! £18 well spent, the black ones are far better than the cheapo copies!
  16. Did you get a pulley and belt as well? The chip is more a computer technician sort of job, need a PC tool kit with a chip extractor and some small torx bits but it's fairly straight forward with the ECU on the bench - chips are very sensitive to static electircity so make sure you ground yourself. FPR - fairly easy to swap, bit fiddly to get to but it's basically held on with 2 6or7 mm allen head bolts with one vac pipe and one fuel pipe going to it - gloves are a good idea!
  17. Thats Grahams old car - first Corrado with the TT wiper conversion... Hard life - it may have been thrashed (Graham is a mentalist driver) but he would have warmed it up and it was looked after very well...
  18. Nice one Angela - It could be one of the fuel lines is perished and letting in air so keep an eye on it...
  19. Just thought i'd tell you as I got a tip off from a mate, from today Halfords are selling the above for £15.99 It's a superb price as the were £79 altho often sold for £49 - Pro range so lifetime warranty Might be worth calling first as I think the staff will buy most of these (mine was reserved by my mate for me) - SKU code is 370668 They also had ClayBars for a fiver, Megs polish for £3, a Momo wheel for £10, small 1/4 72 tooth ratchet for £3, Clear LED third brake light for £5 and loads of bits including tools for £1
  20. oxfordpaul, if you drive down to Woodbridge I'll do it for £27.50 (plus vat of course) Yeah - deffo one to do yourself, especially as it involves interior stuff - need adjustable spanniel, some polish to clean the roof, maybe some insulation tape...
  21. Sills are about £20 a side from VW
  22. look in the aladins cave section on there website...
