    Fuel Leak

They'll be instock at VW - if they can't find them just ask for any fuel clips... As Mic says the VW clamp at the right pressure all the way round so they are best to use really, they do wear out however and should be replaced say every other time they are touched...

fla, are they the correct size jubilee's?? Either way they don't clamp the same all the way round on a small pipe so not ideal - re-use the OEM ones (or buy new ones)
  3. You can pull it thru the rubber bung (leaving the bracket in place)
  4. As above - also worth lifting the boot carpet and checking the rear panel and the wheel well floor for any cracks in the underseal - easy to spot as they will show thru as white...
  5. It's not the same as playing these tho is it... 8)
  6. Hmm - maybe it was build for different aftermarked management in the first place?? Out of interest who did the original conversion?
  7. Yep - claim for that deffo. Hopefully will teach him to be more careful in future... You were lucky you were not on the brakes as it pushed you sever feet, that would have probably bent the boot floor and given you whiplash! I also very much doubt he is a police officer too as he should know how important in is to stop at the scene of an accident and exchange details.
  8. I had one go on the G60, the head just came off while taking it out but i was lucky to get the rest out easily... It was a genuine one too so I bought 12 brand new ones from the dealer - 10 year old metal etc...
  9. Muppet!! - sensor is a seperate part unfortunatly and unplugs under the rear seats...
  10. Pass side footwell - panel next to door under shelf
  11. Was the resistor damaged Yan?? - you have to be fairly careful soldering these in to get the right connection... The other thing it could be is the contacts on the switch need cleaning / bending - try the pack out of the 16v
  12. Halfords Calcium all the way! Batteries seems to be the only thing Bosch isn't good at making!
  13. They've recently changed the Synta formula (Maybe inline with Castrol, who make it, bringing out this Edge stuff...) - some people have reported it seems thinner and they are using more but I've not noticed this yet... I suppose older engines 150k's plus may need something a bit heavier in the summer...
  14. You have to remember this is a nation where the 'Hoff' is regarded as a talented musician...
  15. The blue / black lugs should be on the car - VW usually keep them instock and they are pennies... You would not believe the amount of water than can leak into the boot with just one of these missing!!!
  16. ben16v, better to get a 20 - 200Nm sorta range to cover suspension type stuff...
  17. Vag rear Axle bush tool kit T3111 - Corrado Die is part 3111/9 OT but a company called MetalNerd in the states do all sorts of VAG tools but mainly for the later TDI's
  18. Sorry - I talking crap again... I thought you meant the Rad fan for some reason... Yeah - GSF sell the Valeo heater fans for about £45 + vat (same part as VAG)
  19. It's a releasing agent like PlusGas but it also chemically changes the temperature of stuff it's sprayed onto to also help release seized bolts... Rather than messing around too much tho I would recommend everyone on here to get a set of Irwin Bolt Grippers (machine mart) - took me about 10 mins to get all four rear carrier bolts off...
  20. I'd get your current one sorted...
  21. VR6?? - they are about £300... have a look on eBay - there is someone on there who sells new ones for just over a ton...
  22. It's the actual lock mechs inside the doors - look at the middle 3 part numbers, that needs to match the handles... Bending the striker is just a bodge and will never work well and also weaken the handle...
  23. If you fit passat handles you also need the matching lock mechs....
