billinjah, what year is it? If it's not on the dash it's either near the armrest or under the bonnet in the fusebox
-
Yep, I've got one - great headunit!
-
Bill - the other thing that may have happened is one of the VAC pipes falling off the N74 valve (BCV) - maybe 2 of these usually bolted to the engine side of the scuttle...
-
*Cough* http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46279
-
Worth noting that MOMO do different lengths of boss's - I think L is put on the end of the part number for the longer one so you may want the shorter one unless you are 7 foot tall...
-
Nice one - that bearing is a weird one, basically made of plastic and doesn't look anywhere near up to the job...
-
You may have pushed one of the wheels onto the intercooler pipes but i'd check the MAF first...

LOL! - loving the trial fit bed... Nice parking  -
WTF!! HOW???
-
LOL - yeah I managed too but i've not started drinking yet.... Allen key - not sure you can get one in there very easily you need a socket type bit really Clutch = 3 hours (and thats on a lift with air tools etc)
-
For reference, here is one that did just roll out of the factory!
-
Hehe - there is a 17mm allen plug on the side of the box and it should be filled so the oil is up to this level (ie a bit comes out when you remove the plug) Halfords do a tool but you can make one if you have some large nuts kicking about ...
-
Hmm - I don't think it has to go on a certain way but I did notice mine had some grease on it... maybe its not seated and is 'clicking' round... You need to look at it while moving the steering...
-
Arse - the problem is if the box has to come off then you may as well get the chains done but 85k is a bit early... I'd be tempted to live with it for a bit and see what happens... May be worth checking the gear oil level just incase it's something else (ie inside the box)
-
Can you tell where the noise is coming from? - can you feel it thru the wheel?
-
£100 for the part... What mileage is your car on?
-
No - ones the adjustable and one is fixed, the fixed one is all seperate as there is not much to it, the adjustable one is a sealed unit and only that bottom bearing (one above the spring) is changeable...
-
Yeah it is then... The fix is basically a clutch change altho you can buy the bearing seperatly if it's been changed recently (and if so they've used the wrong grease) It *may* not get any worse or even fix itself if grease moves about...
-
Oh yeah - forget that then as it must be right... Where did the 'new' column come from? Is the steering lock working?
-
Does it go when you just touch the pedal slightly? If so it sounds like the release bearing...
-
Here's a pic
-
Hello - yes there is and the pic looks right but i'm not sure if the splines should be showing - it may need pushing further into the UJ (you can allow for this with the oval holes the 4 bolts go into..) I take it the 'hook' is in place - the bit at the bottom that goes over a plastic sleaved bolt...
-
Stunning engine bay but not sure about those strange aftermarket windscreen wipers tho...
