  1. Well my car's just been picked up by the garage who's doing the MoT for me tomorrow and I pointed it out to the guy. His response was "Ah I see what you mean. Don't worry about it mate, I'll have a word with the tester - everything will be fine. Oh, and I'm only gonna charge you £30 for the MoT if thats cool. I'll see if I can source some red bulbs for you and throw them on." No prompting required and courtesy car, tanked up with gas. 1.4 litre Rover 25, mind, but hey. MG Rover bending over backwards for service though. Yay for "Over" :)
  2. and cheap and shiiite. :) And very lazy at changing wheels? Je veux changer ma roue très rapidement ainsi je peux manger mes grenouilles french accent> I want to change my wheel very quickly so I can eat my frogs
  3. FurkiG60, cheers bud - but I'd rather fix & forget. Phil K, true - but its the principal! £130 lights, TUV-tested "best lights you can get" yadda yadda. First lot leaked, now these are a potential MOT failure! John (16VG60) pointed out that it would have to be a hitler of a MoT tester to fail them, but yes, it was a design flaw that he's just noticed on his too. Would be interesting to know whether its to the same degree on everyone's car - or if some are worse than others. JBOB, I'll look at it tonight (I have about 30 mins from when I get home and the car's being picked up by the garage!) and let you know. I don't have any glass paint - nor can I get any where I'm going today, so I may improvise with some black electrical tape, plugging up the gap between the red filter and the back reflector - so stop the white light getting out. Or may just cover the bottom half of the bulb, so only the top half emits, and emits into the filter. I'll keep you updated.... Glad to know its not just me though
  4. h100vw is a thoroughly nice chap, i say...
  5. Both the same, sadly. Although it does look that way in the pics - in real life they are as bad as each other.
  6. Nope, dry 'n' tight... (oo-err) (And still mis-aligned)
  7. This is very hard to photo, so you'll have to take my word for it. My rear fogs emit white light as well as red - which would be an MOT failure - let alone TUV. Difficult to show on here, but hopefully you miiight be able to see... Could someone else with smoked in-pros check theirs? Preferrably in the dark ;) I might have a dodge set... but MoT is Thursday, so miiight be an idea to fix before then!
  8. Well, 4mbit broadband paying its way for this month... Not a bad little game, actually! Not as slick as GT3 was and I'm guessing GT4 is (not played GT4) but still rather good. Here's some camera-phone shots of my Turbo'd C on the track ;) (Not got wheels yet, though it is 236bhp ;)) Does look rather nice in real life. No active spoiler though - and again the brake lights are on the fogs, not in the right place! Juiced was like that too
  9. :offtopic: Comes with a 7-litre water bottle too. I fill my car's water about once every year... lol
  10. Clanging sounds more like a steering/suspension linkage loose/broken. My guess would be track rod end... not obvious to see but clunks on bumps. Or... checked your wheel nuts recently?
  11. Doubt the starting is connected. What have you done to the brakes recently?
  12. Do like the ebay auction description. Better than a Storm badge, that is ;)
  13. Dammit - how did I miss this post and its leak onto Torrents! Downloading from PirateBay now ;) Edit: Found a better torrent here

Not unless he's taken it down to the bare metal all over ;)
  15. That one ;) All done and uploaded to the directory I put on the post above.
  16. Ah yes, I already have that: http://fastpurple.co.uk/corrado/vids/unsorted/
  17. That's cos you can't - 'cos they're normally too large and kill my bandwidth! You're welcome to email it to me though and I'll host it on fastpurple. andi @ fastpurple dot co dot uk
  18. Or, goto your local Cop-Shop and ask for a UV pen so you can mark up your goods in case they get nicked. :)
  19. Epsom - not far from me then since I'm in Coulsdon :) I use 'Sounds Alarming' in Wallington. Never had a problem with them and they're a right laugh.... and know the Corrado well too. And they know me sufficient that 'its Andi with the Corrado' over the phone lets them know me.... dunno if that's good or bad though... ;)
  20. Hi Stroller. Clifford's all come with a lifetime warranty, so you will be able to get it fixed by the original fitter. It does sound like though the internal sensor is just wound up too high. This is normally positionned centrally in the car... under the gear stick plastic cover is where mine is. Its a small black box with a red LED. And in the corner there is a screw which you can twist to sensitise or desensitise the sensor. HTH. As for a fitter - where are you based?

    Unhappy chavvy

Must've been a day for 'drivers' as when turning right at a semi-largish roundabout into a quiet turning (most people just plow straight across) - indicating correctly, slowly negotiating the roundabout in the right lane, etc, the ahead road now to my left I witness a white beaten up Mondeo lock it riiiight up to avoid hitting me on the roundabout. I smiled, waved at him and drove accross his now 1m-over-the-line nose and into my junction. Happy days! :)
  22. Seriously, I might like a ABS ECU. I need to VAG-COM mine to see whatsup. I know my ABS rings and sensors are fine, so something's up somewhere....
  23. Do you have a driver's side front wing available? LOL
