  1. Why have you spent £200+ on getting it 'fixed'? Miltek's come with a lifetime warranty which should be upheld by the fitter!
  2. Try and find a town in the UK that doesn't have speed bumps too ;) We have mamouth pot-holes too! Doesn't stop us having cars scraping the deck 8)
  3. No probs hun. Guy Hartley uses him, and my local alarm firm, the owner of which learnt auto-electriciany(sic) on a Corrado recommended him too since he didn't have a clue ;) Good luck. 8)
  4. IIRC, he's £50/hr. Like I said, not cheap. But this guy completely diagnosed and rewired my entire fuse box in 2hrs.. so... ;)
  5. Try John of JBCooke Auto Electrics. 07956 294 998 Sorted out my Corrado problems twice now and a diamond. Not cheap - but worth it, as he knows his stuff....
  6. Yeah, don't you just hate it when you turn up to view a car and a 9 year old owned it before you...... ;) If your friend does buy it, ask if its ever been off-road. That looks more like a Jeep than a Sports Coupé!
  7. You have to remove the pod - but it really isn't difficult - it's a 5 min job and only 6 screws... Instructions, as ever, Use the search! (click the link for the answer btw...)
  8. There was a recall, but due to the car being 10+ years old now, they are very unlikely to uphold it. They only need to keep it open for 6 years IIRC, so it's a bit late... Better get ya' spanners and screw-drivers out. It'll be a long night...and day...and night... ;)
  9. Mate of mine has had a Cupra R for about 6 months now... Probably driven it for about 2 - the rest its been back to the dealer.. Good luck!
  10. Why do Peugeot sell a Supercharged Moped then?
  11. P.S. I'd rather have a calendar though.... *Title spell-checked... * I was already looking into this.. But I can see it becoming interesting when the competition starts hotting up for being in it ;) Maybe have a 'Notes' page with small pics of all the entrants who didn't make it into a month?
  12. They should get out more and spend less time here then!! lol
  13. What's with the van in the background? Has that been chav'd too?
  14. Took me 2 cans before mine would start!! I was on a hill though. Where I work we had a van run out of diesel when going up the steep hill. They did a 3 pointer, and drove up the hill in reverse - then along the flat for 500 metres to the petrol station - it worked :)
  15. You didn't read his signature then ;)
  16. Wasn't it incredibly UNreliable in the Top Gear JD Power survey? And for the redness, click here
  17. Mine is obviously my name... but why the 'i' I hear you scream... All stems back from when I was about 9. Three Andrews in the class, one Andrew, one Andy, me, being different, Andi. Sorted. And no, Red=Fast, its not a girl's name in the UK
  18. You could always take the needle off then reposition it up a bit ;) Take longer to get to empty then :)
  19. Sorry, but just in one of those moods. Something you don't use and/or care about, and you have the choice to spend an afternoon pulling your door apart to fix and no-one would care, or you could just stick a rubber gromit over it, increase the security on your car, and save yourself an afternoon - spend it with the missus instead! She'll like me for saying that... hehe. Hey, you might even get the comment later "hey, you de-pinned your door, that's cool..."
  20. My driver's side door pin came off. Got a rubber gromit and covered it. Never use it anyway ;) Time spent: 20 seconds. Money spent: was given the gromit. Shove that in your How-To section and smoke it ;)
  21. I had the fuel pump relay die on mine, and rev counter did not drop, as engine was still turning and trying to spark - just no fuel - so I don't think that is the same as this incident.
  22. CliffNet Pro will only extend the lock-pulse to 3 seconds, not the 20-odd I need for both windows roll up. So, either there's a newer version than 1.2 I have acquired will can extend this, or I have something up with the wiring to the closure system. There is an accessory time delay - which was set at 20 seconds - but this seems to be ignored, so the windows are only working off the lock pulse. Hopefully the fitters can squeeze me in this arvo for a butchers.
  23. Is one from the fuel tank not the breather line which goes to the carbon canister in the front right wing?
