  1. Yup - beige is the new black :) In really good condition like that it looks lush - how much did you pick up for Paul?
  2. Was at VW on the weekend - you can get a fox for 20 quid a week! That has to be cheaper then a bus pass
  3. Thats great - at first i thought 'oh know he is going to do pulsar 'night rider' type lights' but i going off the tach is a great idea, and looks well gooood.
  4. scooter? what one of those plebs that try to drive under your car 'meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh'! That is a bit embrassing dude - but your best keeping clear of those scroats, they are on a death wish.
  5. I echo the RS4 praise - got to have a good look round one at dusseldorf airport and they are ard as feck - kind of car i have earmarked for ownership when prices come down
  6. sweeeeeet - the B's hang out just right, but with some arch work will look even phatter!
  7. Idiots - some insurance companies always get up my nose because of stoopidity like the above. Last year i moved from a busy road where cars got damaged on a regular basis from dodgy 3 point turns and drunken twats kicking off your wing mirrors for a laugh - to a place in a quiet village with my own driveway (3 miles up the road). Admiral (should have known better then trusting a one eyed crook with a friggin parrot on his shoulder) wanted an extra 30 quid! One had no choice but to tell them where to go.
  8. I am guessing a Audi or perhaps an Seat. No def Audi of some sort.
  9. Big thanks to Peakz for my HT leads. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone on here - leads are like new and packed & posted really well Cheers dude!

    Tommy S

Whilst the C is in having some spray work and dinks worked on i got hold of a Cooper S for few days. My first thoughts were 'oh dear' someone should be shot for coming up with that dash design. Drove it off and not to impressed, driving position felt like i was in routemaster after being in the rado for awhile. Next i hit some bendys on the way out of town and got to play a bit and push the charger and i must say raised a few smiles and a few hairs on the back of my neck. Anyone else had a blat in one?
  13. Had a nice Red VR6 following me on the M4 towards Slough / Windsor. Looked mean in the rear mirror and made me realise how much I love red on a corrado.
  14. Nah i am pretty lazy - so no doubt a cat pancake would sit there for a few weeks.
  15. This is getting to familiar it really is - and just reminds me that i need to wind my neck when i come across these psychos. I have a regular thing where the driveway to my place is off a fairly busy 30 mph road where everyone hits 40mph on average. To be able to make it into my driveway i need slow down to about 5 / 10 miles an hour and almost hit full lock. Everyday when arriving home from work, this always pisses someone off and i get a dirty look as they drive pass?!?? - however, there is nothing else i can do and no other way of parking except cane it through the garden fence, hit the handbrake and proberbly run over charly the cat who tends to hang out in the drive for when i get home. Once the above scenarion was in place and a guy in old JAG called me a c**t (serious) and waved a fist at me, so i gestered in a 'yeah, yeah,f**kin, yeah' way. Next minute he has stops the car in the middle of the road and is out pacing towards me, palms facing outwards, while he spits out "c'mon then mate, lets go!' - Now check this out - "I said i was sorry" which i hated doing - so why???? - At the end of the day this was where I lived and luckily being in my later years the thought hit my not so often clever brain "this is right outside your home luke, what if this psycho comes back and just the GF is in on her own". That outweighed my pride and the missus said she was proud of me - awwwwww

    lame question

    When refering to cylinders 1 - 6 on a vr6. How are these counted? I persume this must be the pattern: 2 4 6 1 3 5
  18. Stunning Dude - love the pic from No Rice.
  19. My car was used in the snaps and i met the writer (Toby a real gent) and it was always meant to be worts 'n' all guide. He penned the guide together and then i brought the car up afterwards for the photoshoot. After the event we went for a spin down some country roads...his reaction was eyes popping out of head gripping the innner door handle with white knuckles and words along the lines of 'f**k me that sounds beautiful....i knew they were fast...but wow, i have got to have one.' There are some little niggles with the C VR6 as with any car apart from maybe a volvo or a landrover circa 1954 ;) ...but if you are after a thrill..and would like to own one of the most individual classic sports cars on the road...get a Corrado...but get a good one thats been looked after. As said above though - you are wise to look into all of the pitfalls..so if you decide too buy..you know what to look for. As for the GF mate - i got it in the neck as well "you paid £xxxx for 12 year old car!!!!! are you facking mad!"
  20. If only :) most of us are on 190 stock!
  21. I got early to wash the car and then it got welted with salt and cr6p off the roads on the journey up there. We ended up washing it down with some rags and a washing up bowl :)
  22. Yeah double page - makes a good read as well. Its also a blo0dy good mag - its aimed at the enthusiasts like us lot, loads of tech tips and a really nice artical on the Audi quattro 20v turbo. The guys that run the mag are a really nice bunch..The editor spends more of the weekend tinkering around with his beloved yellow Capri V8 :)
