  1. The cars are not just for Weddings, but any event, including Driving Tours. Shall we ? I bags the TVR Tuscan - mad machine !!/ or the Cobra !!
  2. I am still here too. Still with Corrado - nicely resprayed now though. !!
  3. Jim, Lets catch up nearer the time. If driving quite happy to pick you up. Although - Parking at Train Stataion seems a good option. Thanks Goldfinger
  4. Thanks Jim. Presumably you do this to save on the NEC Parking fees ?
  5. I will go on the Friday too - away at the weekend.
  6. Whew - thank goodness for that - I might go now !!! :-)

Have to say, that photo Miles posted is superb. I feel so proud driving her when she is clean. That respray really gave me back my love to clean her myself. I don't take either car to the Polish boys now - (don't worry the Corrado has not been since her respray)!!

Miles (the bestest friend ever !! :-) )beat me to it. My car is looking as suberb as before all the brick dust covering it now. Happy me again now !! Miles even bought over his special sweet smelling snow foam. Amazing stuff. Washed all my neighbours shrubbery too !! Thank you for all the comments and Miles for his products and help.

Thanks again guys for your comments and best wishes with my car cleaning !! That is really reassuring dragon green. Thank you so much. It is just brick/stone dust. Its a old muti storey car park that is being torn down. I have so far, just light to medium pressured washed it and left it outside. Thinking I will now leave it until Saturday as the light is already fading by the time I get home I will also ring the council tomorrow followed by a letter. One of my neighbours is an excellent letter writer and ex copper - sure he would love that ... to occupy part of his early retirement and good pension ... day !!! :-) Thanks again Wendy

Thanks for the replies and so promptly. I did earlier just gently jet wash off as much as possible. Re the snow foam - I looked at it in Halfords and read the instructions - but if you are all stating how you use it, I will give that a go. I have already left my car outside Jim !! I am thinking I should get intouch with the council too regardless.

So..........parked my car yesterday in Banbury while I went to work. Came back covered in brick dust from local demolition works - I mean smoothered !! I have jet washed it with water only at the moment whihc has removed all the loose stuff. I then visited a Bodyshop I know - to ask their view. They feel it will be ok - being washed as normal - well 2 bucket method of course. He suggested snow foam is another option, but I gather this actually has to be rubbed in - I don't fancy that. Halfords suggested a non water shampo - and to spray it on the car, leave it for 10 minutes to lift the dirt/dust, then pressure spray off. I am just terrified I will create some swirls - they was not a single mark on it. (Well one minor ding and one samll stone chip - but no damage, swirls or lines on the bodywork. I was so pe'ed off last night I woke in the night thinking about it. Of course I have taken photo's - as if I do damage it, I will be contacting the local council. Surely they have a duty of care for local businesses, homes, people's property etc. Think I will leave it until the weekend when I will have proper time to clean it - rather than rushing after work in fading light. Any other suggestions would be gratefully recieved. Thanks Wendy
  12. I would add Stealth and Vince is a specialist VW man, Corrado's in particular. As said before have a chat with Vince - he is open Saturday mornings. Even if it was a quick call to arrange to call him back at a more convenient time to you. He will be open and honest with you, you still have the right to go elsewhere of courser, but at least you would be armed with the information to know to ask others. Having had my Corrado 15 years now, I know many instances where Vince has being putting right others poor work through lack of understanding of the Corrado. Good Luck in whatever you do.
  13. Loads of us use Stealth at Southam and have done for years- Give Vince a ring.
  14. Proper Chuftie on Sunday. So out with the 350z boys, 7 of them, I however was in the Corrado. We went on a drive of about 1.5 hours through parts of the Cotswolds. I was leading. I had previously been somewhat apprehensive thinking they are going to be all over the back of me - how wrong. Their comments were brilliant - they could not believe how fast my Corrado was, in particular how it picked up speed from standstill. We had radio's - I could not resist taunting them - ' you guys having problems keeping up' !!! Rather backs up my statement often said - I can drive my Corrado faster than my 350z. Think they will all look at Corrado's somewhat differently now. Very happy. Brilliant fun
  15. I find the Shows etc a great place to give my Corrado the attention as I am stuck there and good to do while the chaps are searching for ever more spares and rusty bits !!! Shows are not really my thing either, much preferring Motorsport, bikes, cars, trucks, hillclimbs, rally, touring, F1 - all of it. Age may be related to this - I have done so many shows, so all are old hat and ish dull IMO. I go for the friends made over the years as they are great catch up venues. With the way this thread has gone - maybe more Forum folk might come forward to Suggest and organise Meets, whether a drive Out of a Sunday morning, A Show they want to attend opening it up to others to join in, same with Motorsport.
  16. Coullstar - have you still got a Corrado ? Sorry not been keeping up to date on here !! I know you did have but then looking at your list of Corrado's they all look to be sold.
  17. Just like my Corrado !!! Hopefully one day this does not come back to bite me. I do have some expenses looming mind - will be 2nd clutch, chains etc in about another 20 - 30k miles. Since Harewood at the weekend, I have used my car daily - making use of the good weather.
  18. Way back at E38 around 2004/05 the CCGB had a stand/gathering of which I was cooking the BBQ for everyone. I recall having heated conversations then because I wanted to hand out Burgers and so on to Corrado Forum folk not just members. The Forum chaps still around will remember this !! Despite this way back then it does not feel anything has changed. Shame as I feel the Club is really loosing out now. Hopefully the CCGB might take the opportunity to speak with you further Pete with you having first hand at dealing with such transitions and of course the Forum owner now. AS you say it is meant to be fun and enjoyable for admin/commitee and its members - not a pain in the ........ !!! We all have common ground !!
  19. Eric - Rather than thinking of it in such a formal way. Why not think of it as a contribution to running costs. It need not be a Club but a Forum where everything happens. The 350z Club have a set team of administrators who manage all things - with contributions made only. No - You do not have to contribute to be a member. And yes, they do still have the relevant insurances - I did ask a few questions privately to one of the admin team when I first joined. If you wanted to - you could still be in the Team surely so you had access to such accounts etc. Just my penny's worth !! :-)
  20. I would actually like to see the Combining of the Forums, so as quicky1980 states - everything is in one place. (This has been confusing for anyone who has not been around for years and knowing of the CCGB.) Then Regional Hosts - albeit anyone can Host an event /Show if they see one they like and would like to attend with others.
  21. I too have waited a while to comment. I am a CCGB member .. that hardly visits the CCGB Forum. What I think is being missed here - is- nearly all committee members on the CCGB have had enough/lack time, energy and motivation to continue. (It sadly does not appear to be being pushed by the relatively new Chariman either)and most are wanting to stand down and only keep going due to no-one coming forward to take over. As much as I would not like to see the CCGB fold - as with the start of this thread - the Club is not being given the support generally by its members - either in show attendance, magazine contributions, CCGB Forum visitors and thread posts. Unless something pretty drastic happens in combining the forums - I can only see on way forward now for the CCGB.
  22. Have you seen his driving !!!! :-) All the dealers, hence they are steering clear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ha ha
  23. Especially when they are not as young as they were - and can't take it anymore !! :-)
  24. Dox - There will always be Traders and Dealers - there is in everything - a fact of life sadly. I do agree it is sad some will be garaged and barely used - but this happens in all marks and makes. But Then there will always be enthusiasts too - who I reckon will mostly have bought when the prices are lower anyway, else they were not much of an enthusiast - IMO. Plus you will always see some - albeit occasionally. Just look at the MGB GT, Spitfire, Roadster market - that is the same - seldom seen but around. It is just life - sadly - else there would have been a newer Corrado produced !! Another conversation...... Have to say - finally the new (or not so new now) Sirocco is finally growing on me - won't be buying one mind.
