Well, honestly - I have got to replace my Shocks !!! Quite miffed they have only lasted 11 years and approx 110,000 miles !! So better than the originals - not bad heh ? They are the Koni Shocks, which I have had it mentioned might actually be under guarantee - seriously, so need to double check. Sadly I am needing to get a few things done, like rear pads, disks and bearings plus calliapers and brake pipes. Oh well, she has not cost alsot in the last few years and better to get these done now before her respray which is booked for Mid February. I don't think Vag-Hag will notice if we swop a few bits !! Have the 350z in for a Service on Monday, so just need to check that does not have a bigger priority of items needing attention. It has a slight knocking at slow speed, so hopefully this is nothing too major or expensive.

Some cool looking photo's there Eric. All the Committee - even Yan putting in a appearance !!! :-) It was good to join you all for dinner last night. A good call as usual. I even paid up my membership !!! Might take a look at the Restoration Show, not been to that one before.

OMG - I thought I was well and truely alone with my thoughts on TC and TG. Haven't watched the programme for a few years. On the odd time I raise it I seem to have chosen someone who is in love with the programme !! Clarkson and the money spent producing the programme properly winds me up.

How incredibly annoying - my plans have just been cancelled for Sunday and the only reason I could not make this event. I am seriously getting peed off with folk cancelling events at the last minute. I am now not in a position to join this event as at this late stage I cannot re-arrange my work schedule. Very annoyed !!!

Thanks Dox, I will take a look at Jim's first and let you know. Cheers

Jim - that's brilliant re the bumper - Thank you. So, why so amazed ? Think I have been rabbiting on about it for a while......... It's not like I am going to be selling her anytime soon and I find it quite upsetting how shabby she is getting, so something had to be done. Hopefully the engine and running will be good for a few more years so heavy money is not needed for that.

The time has finally arrived ................. I have booked her in for a Respray !! My dear VR has been getting more and more untidy and 3 pieces of rust 2 on wheel arches and one on the wing indicator, plus the usual stone chipped bonnet etc etc. She was near immaculate when I bought her some 12 years ago, but 130,000 miles later, and up until a year ago my daily user - she deserves it. It is booked in for Macrh next year as it is too cruel to have a Respray then drive her over Winter. Sadly my 350z is crap in Winter. In the last year I have split my driving between the 2 cars and intend to continue with this. Fortunately I do not need to many bits and Greg Howell of Southan Bodies who is doing the job said she is overal in good condition overall which made my day, albeit getting tatty now - I agree. I do look forward to getting her back in pristine condition and enjoying caring for her again as I did for many years until my shoulders/back really started playing up and rust started to show when I usually then gave the Polish Boys the job - well with a bit of eye candy too helped !!! Hopefully I have a few Scouts now I could train in Car Washing Duties should ny back get bad again!! Anyway, Anyone got a good VR 1996 Rear Bumper ? Mine has the pressure cracks/splints on it - which may be OK, but would like another in reserve incase one is required. Thanks

*** Importance of having a fire extinguisher in the car ****
Wendy replied to lilfuzzer's topic in General Car Chat
Chris - Sounds like you were lucky - thank goodness. I have had one for a few years too, in the passenger shelf - fits well. -
I am serioulsy thinking of getting my Corrado resprayed, so this is a real consideration - due to rust revention too. Presumably with less weight - I can drive faster ? !!!! :-) Has any anyone thought of the Insurance side and how this may be effected ? Anyone enquired ? Also, I understand all cars are Crash Tested - so what happens here, or is this considered just as bodywork and not structural - sorry if this seems a really dumb question. What are the down sides of carbon fibre ? I note the price at £950 for the pair, but then 15% off all parts -Is this considered a Part ? Is the price inclusive of VAT ? Thanks

My goodness you have a long drive. It will be brilliant, you should see some excellent driving, Button is fantastic in the wet. If you get a chance look up from Bicester going cross countrey driving past Stowe School and through Silverstone village going in that way, it is significantly less busy than the static A43 as it will be ! The parking will be on fields when they run out of tarmaced areas and this can get boggy. All the local farmers are then on Standby with Tractors to help pull people out, so if you have old mats I would take them and consider a lighter car if this is an option. Food and drink is pricey, so be warned and consider a picnic unless you are feeling rich !!! Otherwise enjoy, it will be brilliant.

Thanks Eric. Pass also arrived in email this morning.

Eric - You lost me. On the first post it says entry is £10.00. Is this more money !!!! that is being requested or now only £5.00 ? I also do not have an email pass through.

Good photo's too Sounds like fun was had up the strip - definitely envious of that !! Can't imagine watching watching us 3 cars leaving, (Matty, Vag-hag and me) - must have been hilarous to watch - it was fun from where I was sat !!! :-) -

Wendy replied to macvwnut's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Ha ha Eric !!! 39 mpg !!! Driving Lessons needed I think !!! Over Winter don't think I have managed more than 27mpg on the Corrado and its 23mpg on the 350z. Thought I would as much fuel as possible before we run out !!!! lol !! -
Eric - This event is not on the CCGB site, with your comments personally I think it needs to be. Just an idea !!
