    Cleaning strips

Yeah, should do. Give it a try, I used that, and Auto Glym Tar remover to get rid of the rubstrip glue marks on my mate's Corsa.

Don't sue back to black. Cheper option than a clay bar is Auto Glym - cant remember which one it is but something like Vinyl and Rubber protector, it gives them a shine, and you can use it on yur dash, and tyres. It doesnt come off like tyre black or back to black.
  4. That's well harsh. If it was MY decision, I'd keep the Corrado and track it, only because I don't trust myself on a bike. You could make it look as mean as this guy's, people who are up the road from me...it's a weapon.
  5. I need loads of work done. However, a) I can't afford it and b) I live in Devon!!
  6. Right, my side strips have been taken off already at some point and re-stuck on with silicone. Is the procedure the same to get silicone off of paintwork ie a hairdryer and a filler knife/credit card?
  7. OK, well since the work on my car has mostly been done to you then I will speak to you - how much to do the re-bore? And what other partsa apart from pistons do i need? I know sometimes you can increase displacement by using different rods, but as you're boring it out then does it use the same rods? Thanks
  8. OK, not including pistons, what else needs to be done to a G60 to do a 1.9 conversion? I tried searching but I couldn't find anything. Thanks
  9. Nah, hedges do that. I would say coem along to a meet we have for a cruise site round here, but I don't want more than one Corrado being there ;) lol
  10. The steering wheel is more sex wee than that, it's a 3 grad jobbie that has lap times and all sorts on it, you can see it laying on top of the dash. He put it on for me but I didn't get a picture, I will do next time I go up there.
  11. Went up to a place I know today to get a blanking plate made up for my master cylinder (Thanks GSF). Not only did he end up making it for free, but let me wander round his workshop looking at all the toys in there....mmmmmmmm tasty. Both the Golf and the Rado make about 190ishbhp IIRC, he has had about 240-250bhp from these engines on tb's (2.016v) but chooses to keep it round this sort of power.
  12. Can't make it, at the moment my G60 has no brake pedal, needs bleeding again and again and again.
  13. I'm in Devon but I won't be coming, 1) Camborne is an hour and ahalf from em and 2) my G60 has no brakes. I'd meet up in Newquay one night though....
  14. i always thought TBH meant to be honest?
  15. Right, there are two different sizes I can buy for a G60, one is 22.2mm and the other is 22mm. Which one do I need on a '91 G60?
  16. I agree in principle with waht you're saying, but I also think you're wrong. I know of at least 3 XE'd Nova's, all running good power figures, two above 210bhp. Now, if you have the intelligence to put these engines into a car, (or if you pay a garage to do it for you) then you're gonna have the sense to strengthen it. One of my mates put his 167bhp XE lump into his 1.1 Nova shell iin his garage, but he still managed to seam weld the car. I think you're being a bit short sighted really to be honest. An LET'd Corsa will last if done properly, and will probably destroy most things on the road. My mate's Nova XE on carb's is running nearly 300bhp/tonne....

    Mk2 Clocks on Mk1

I meant a Corrado mate sorry! lol
  18. rohypnol might help then you can get him tatooed at the same time "I am a C U NT onhis forehead. Backwards.
  19. The car on standard bushes basically bends so that the wheels are always pointing hte way they are travelling, the car on poly will bend less so the wheels may start to slide earlier...but that doesnt necessarly mean u will point the wrong way instantly...as long as you foot is on the gas, a fwd car should never do that..... I cant even loose the back end of my car if i try to, but it does drift slightly when I am charging round a tight fast corner... like a big round about, or tight slip road. I couldnt change back to OE if you paid me. Also.... this has been talked to death...cant u search on it? Loving that anology!! Dooomf lol! I will search. I'm just lazy lol.... thanks for the feedback, think I will go with the poly bushes.
  20. My mate has 6-pots on his Corrado, it's the one with the full widebody GTR kit on it, with 9 or so inch wide rear wheels. I will try and get some pics up, dont know if anyone on here has seen it.
