  1. Hi Alex, can you put me on the list for 8 rollers please. Let me know as soon as you need payment. Cheers. Dave
  2. beat me too it! Nice buffin our kid!
  3. Been trying to get comparison videos / pics together but they really don't do the results justice! I'd post pics of my valver before and after but the reflectors aren't great so not really a fair display. The lights on my valver actually go off between dip and main bean  when standard, but even with bad reflectors the lights are now really good. I'll get one on the VR, that should really show the difference. As with any uprated loom, getting ~14v at the lamps is the key and in our testing we get full alternator charge volts at the lamps. This gives a white light rather than the yellow that most Corrado stock light give. The other main difference is the immersion proof relays and extruded alloy enclosure. It is touchy feely
  4. It is indeed the same fella, must be feeling a little shy. We've been talking about doing more driving events with Corrados over the last few months & this seemed ideal to me. I think that maybe a breakdown of what a treasure hunt is and what the fee is for would help people decide (the info is on the website in the link). As I understand it it's to cover the cost of the trophy and printed materials that are needed to run the event and nothing for profit ;) You will need a navigator ! If you enjoyed Poolte and Pies, this is the next step up the ladder, with a competition element added in.
  5. Don't you worry about Jude, she'll be muckin in with the boys when her VR comes apart :notworthy:
  6. More feedback from Mr Sands! I've done my first commute in the remapped VR and I'm more impressed even than before. It really does make motorway cruising smoother and easier and the power is so much more accessible when you want it. I'm sure I can feel the engine taking it easier too; cannot get over what a difference it's made. :notworthy:
  7. Kidderminster, West Midlands. Website Clicky Pretty much drive in drive out...... if everything is ok with the car :)
  8. Oh yes.....at about 3:15 in . , Wazzas VR 12v in front just about pulling away from Mic in his 24v 2.8! OK so he catches him under braking and better cornering speed  Warricks car spec.... stock cams, 3 layer head gasket, CDA BMC, Magnex exhaust & DG Remap!
  9. It's a new one for me but I don't see why not? Give me a call if you want to have a chat about it :)
  10. We can cater for OBD2, but the improvements in low end timing are pretty much already in the stock software. Some gain at the top end depending on engine spec. Best to give me a call and we'll see if we can work something out 8)
  11. I suppose the only real comparison you can draw, is a before and after on the same dyno, but even then, atmospheric conditions and heat soak can make a substantial difference. After spending some time trying to calibrate, from scratch, a new diesel engine controller (at work), calibration is a very fine art and takes an awful lot of time to get right! .... you forgot tyre pressures, the heating of the tyres, changes in friction due to the heat, the way the car is strapped in, how hard it's strapped in, is it able to climb out of the rollers whilst accelerating and decelerating..... the list is endless..... ok time for a pic..... this is a real rolling road. rollers.jpg[/attachment:3fenng4i] The rollers are 6ft diameter, the test cell is climate controlled for temperature and humidty, the vehicle cooling fan is as big as the car and can still only run at 150kph.... but this is getting way off topic so I'll stop here.
  12. I a word.... Yes.... but within reason. The main thing we want to be sure of is that you are running on the map and not around the edges.... :nono: Call me. Happy to discuss requirements 8)
  13. Blimey this is getting at bit carried away already  The maps are all our own work 8) I wouldn't be happy putting my name to anything else TBH. I've seen a few of the cheapy ebay maps.......all I can say is I wouldn't put them anywhere near my own car. As VR6 Joni described... most are fuel and timing +3-5%, that's all fuel and all timing.... even at idle :cuckoo: which makes for a pretty rough drive TBH. I've even seen all maps increased +5%, some of these I don't even know what they do so leave well alone! The improvements on these are mainly down to the extra timing, but I definitely wouldn't be adding timing in some of the areas the ebay chips do.....You have been warned..... As for modification.... it really does depend on what changes you have. Call me, have a chat. Anything wild is going to need a tweek here or there and that's what we can do for you. If it's a supercharger then obviously it'll be loads different to a cam and big TB but these aren't supercharger or turbo maps. The maps are customised to suit the car, some will stand more timing, some not, it really does depend on age and condition. I would actually refuse to map a car that's loosing compression, smoking badly or generally in bad repair etc etc. Extra power..... again depends on overall condition etc. You will notice quite a difference over stock, and anything you can notice in the bum dyno is a good increase :) Don't forget I used to design and install dyno control systems for a living until very recently, the accuracy is wildly variable from machine to machine....but don't even get me started on that one
  14. Think they also take your car off you until you can prove you have current insurance........
  15. Can just imagine what the cops would have had to say about this!
  16. Now doing hoses for rear MK4 caliper conversions. Full stainless steel and available in a kit with the fronts or separate. :)
  17. Worth also noting that if the matrix has already gone and filled the heater box with coolant you need to clean the foamy insides of the heater box to get rid of all the g12 or it'll stink every time you use the hot bit of the heater....my 10p  oh and clean the carpets and underlay too......
  18. Always a good one this......the only way is to get out in several different cars with different setups and make the choice that you like, everybody is different so it's a very personal choice. Driven loads of different cars with Koni, KW, Weitec, PI, Bilstein, Eibach, H&R the list goes on and on. For us it comes down to the old mix of comfort, handling and price. H&R Springs and Koni dampers are a good comfort option. Moderate lowering. KW v1's give really good handling, but some think a bit on the firm side. Weitec GTX give good handling without the KW price tag (or the INOX SS bodies!). V3's are awesome...... but most of us don't have the £1k+ floating around to pay for them. At the end of the day get out and drive a few.... have a good think.....drive a few more..... then make your own choice
  19. Bet you kept the DG trophies..... I saw the look on your face when you sat in Chris Langdons VR the other week......it had 'I want a VR' written all over it!
  20. Spotted VeeDubHev this morning after dropping Jon_VR6 at the station in Kiddy
  21. Might be the delicate mix of air freshener and G12+ though......
  22. Hi All, just a quick post to say thanks to Kip for sorting out the new CCGB Air Freshners! I'm don't normally have this sort of thing in my car but thought I'd give it a go in the valver. Does a great job of masking the smell of G12+ (which my valver has had since the matrix broke in January this year. Yes I need to get all the carpets out to get rid of it properly.....) Cheer Kip! rsz_ccgb_freshner.jpg[/attachment:2n4lng8f]
  23. Think I might turn my front dampers up a bit after watching them oscilate in the vid
  24. It's this one, which is different to the keyfob cameras and £15  comes with mounting brackets etc.
  25. Graham ordered a couple of these mini dv cameras so thought I'd post a little vid of the VRT pootling home tonight!
